Luofu Mountain is a very famous mountain in Guangdong province with long history and stories from Taoism. The bus ride from Huizhou is almost 2 hours one way, but we still think it's worthwhile. There are temples, museums, gardens, waterfalls, streams, walking trails... you can easily spend a full day. We didn't even have chance to take the cable car and reach the top. It's so refreshing to get close to the waterfalls. We also enjoyed the stories of Chinese alchemist and Chinese medicine from this mountain.

Luofu Mountain is one of the famous Taoism pilgrimage sites. It's my first time there. I was impressed by how beautiful the site was and how nicely maintained it had been. The 1.8km cable lift was pretty long and good for sight seeing in a clear day. The vegetation on the mountain is so lush that the leaves seemed dripping "green". I imagine that, taking a weekend trip here from busy cities like Guangzhou or Shenzhen, must be very relaxing and meditating.

We've got there by bus from Huizhou, the ride costs about 25 yuan. The park itself is quite big and very beautiful with ponds, pagodas and temples. Make sure you go to the top by cable car - the ride is very nice and view from the top is amazing. Of course, you can go by foot, but it will take you some time. There are no restaurants there, but you can always grab some instant noodles from the shop, if too hungry. It's a little pity, that we were there on a dry season and all the waterfalls were not really there, and some caves were closed, but still it's worth visiting.

Nice park with a nice garden, nice nature and a calbe car to go almost on top, from almost down. The view is nice and it is silent, specially for China. On top is just a small snack shop, not really a restaurant.

Luofu Mountain is very beautiful though it is foggy that day. I went there with my hiking group. We didn't pick the paved road, instead we climbed through muddy road with small waterfalls and some horses moving stones back and forth. That's really a different and exciting trip.
