This is called a museum cluster, based in and around the town of An'ren. Way too much to do properly in just one day, especially with the amazing food on offer ! The museums cover modern history really from the War with Japan, to the recent earthquake. Museum of the cinema to the numismatist museum. Couple this with Liu's manor... More

The exhibitions in the public squares are free of charge, others will cost a nominal fee. Good for those interested in modern history in China. Didn't bother with the chargeable exhibitions since we arrived there rather late and was nearing their closing time.

This collection of modern museums tells the story of the Anti-Japanese War, with one building (Hall of the Heroes of the Flying Tigers) telling the story in much the same way one could expect a Western museum to do, which was interesting. There are also buildings with exhibitions about the Cultural Revolution, and the 2008 Sichuan earthquake. A fascinating day's... More

This is the said to be the largest private museum in China, and is mostly dedicated to the Second Japanese Chinese War. We call it World War II. The museum is spread out over a large number of acres and is comprised of around 15 buildings. The museum is excellent with pictures and artifacts from this time period. I went... More
