    Nice view of coconut trees
Very nice place. Do visit if you are staying close by. Coconut groves with beautiful view of sea looks amazing. Nice place to click photographs, space being less it tends to get crowded. Do visit early morning. Itā€™s very close to turtle beach, visit to which can be combined.

    Instagrammable
We took the path from Mirissa main street and it was a short 15 minute walk uphill. The place was very busy with tourists and locals, there was even a baby reveal party underway when we arrived. The place is very picturesque and you will certainly get those instagrammable photographs.

Discovering Coconut Tree Hills: A Tour Guide's Take on Mirissaā€™s Coastal Gem
As a tour guide, Coconut Tree Hills in Mirissa is one of my favorite spots to introduce visitors to Sri Lankaā€™s coastal beauty. This picturesque location is renowned for its breathtaking views and tranquil atmosphere. The hillside is adorned with lush coconut palms that create a stunning contrast against the vibrant blue of the Indian Ocean. The gentle incline offers a leisurely stroll with panoramic vistas that are perfect for relaxation and photography. Itā€™s an excellent spot for guests seeking a serene retreat or a memorable backdrop for their travel photos. The charm of Coconut Tree Hills lies in its natural simplicity and the unspoiled beauty that captures the essence of Sri Lankaā€™s coastal allure.

This place is lovely for sunset watching; enjoy the sea breeze; under the coconut trees; and nice spot for instagramable photos. The place can be crowded but enough space for anyone find the right spot to relax, chit chat and enjoy the sea view. It is walkable from Mirissa Beach or the Parrot Rock Bridge along the coastal walk, approximately 30-40 mins. Those donā€™t want to walk can take Tuk-Tuk along Matara Road. We love the sunset here and it was just marvellous!!!

Unreal views!! I got there around 4pm which was quiet so if you want to get a picture without the crowds id recommend then or early around 8am. By 5.30 there must have been about 40 people all trying to get pictures. The sunset was the best I've ever seen :)

We visited the Coconut Tree Hill on 15th January and even with several rumours about the news on newly built fence. However, the place is safe and still has its amazing view of Indian ocean. The place is clear and few meters away from Colombo-Matara main road and parking facility is available.

It's a hill with Coconut trees. That's it. We went up early in the morning and it was picturesque with the rising sun, but it was already crowded with narcissists taking selfies. Garbage was strewn along the trail with debris and plastic bottles everywhere.

Be ready to face a crowd of people taking dozens of selfies each and staring and their phones afterwards. The access is not the best but you can also go down by the hill side opposite to the sea when leaving the area. The bar down the hill is very expensive compared to other local bars. Another place getting destroyed by instagram and social midia with their pseudo-influencers

Weā€™ve been here on a cloudy day and it still was visited by tourists a lot. Nevertheless the location is really special and beautiful. And after waiting a bit we could get our pictures without others on it, too.
Actually it was rather funny to watch all the IG-Girls posing and making their boyfriends take the hundredths picture ;)

Grič is located in a very beautiful location surrounded by the sea. It is accessible from several sides with the sea a little more difficult from the main street, but there is no problem. We visited it one hour before sunset and saw a beautiful sunset there. You should know that there are many people there before sunset, so the earlier you arrive, the better position for taking pictures awaits you. On the hill you have a nice view of all the beaches of Mirissa.

Coconut Tree Hill is now probably one of the most popular and recognisable places in Mirissa. This cliff is located at the end of a beach which is covered in coconut trees. From Mirissa travel approximately 3 km along the Matara Road and turn to Coconut Tree Hill Road to reach the Coconut Tree Hill.Coconut Tree Hill is a popular tourist attraction in Mirissa and tourists flock here to capture beautiful images of this unique location.

The Coconut Tree Hill is definitely one to add to your bucket list in Sri Lanka as itā€™s the perfect place to watch a bold, island sunset from.

When we visited Coconut HIL, the gates were shut so there was a fair number of people squeezing up the side path. We found there was a fair few unsavoury characters but that may have been as it was a public holiday. A few teens, spitting and trying to be a bit intimidating. Besides that the look out spot is lovely but very dirty, a lot of stray dogs and plastic and rubbish around. A tree ally beautiful spot that is being let down by either the locals or the visitors, really sad.
