I gave this 4 stars based solely on its photographic opportunities. Visited at low tide as that is the preferred time to cross the short sandbar to the bamboo stairway. I made sure to hang on , on the way up. Not recommended for the disability impaired.
Pathways make it easy to navigate around the top. There is some seating where you can sit and just contemplate. But as I alluded to the taking of some great photos is the main objective. I was up and down within 20 minutes after getting my pics.

This is one of the popular tourist spots along the Mirissa Beach. We decided not not climb up as it was high tide in the late afternoon and the path looked wet and muddy which may subject to fall from the massive rock, since we thought the view cannot be much different on top of the rock. There were many crows flying around and stopped at the tree trunks on TOP of the rock. Interesting place for a short visit and some photo takings.

An idyllic little island in the middle of Mirissa beach. I advise you to visit it at low tide, because it will be a little easier to access it, but it is not difficult even at high tide. I personally like it better than Cocounut hill. There are a million possibilities for taking pictures, I could say it's heaven for Instagram pictures. You can also choose it to watch the sunset.

Fantastic! An idyllic place for couples. Icing on the cake for the already beautiful Mirrissa beach. A spectacle to behold with a 270' sea view. Astonishingly clean water and a place to spend hours.

This place is located right on Mirissa beach. Its a great view point and activity while spending your time beach hoping. The climb is made pretty easy due to the bridge that they build and its shows a stunning view from up top! Make sure to check out this free activity!

Highly recommend visitng at sunset. A bit of a wonky hike up the rock but there are some bamboo. Best to not bring too many valuables or to carry them in your pocket. Great views of the main beach.

Awesome spot to sit out on the rocks and overlook Mirissa Beach and catch a sunset. The staircase bridge looks questionable but felt secure when climbing it and it adds to its charm. Must do when in Mirissa!

A nice climb with a beautiful view over the bay and area
Be careful when climbing a part of the bridge is repaired so you have to walk underneath some bamboo scaffolding

My kids love hanging out here. My son and I climbed it, it was scary but exciting. We then swam below for hours and looked at sea life.
