A small but beautiful cave. I recommend it on sunny days! It is worth adding that the movie The Expendables was filmed there. It's a pity that there are no more attractions near the cave

It was our fault, driving here hoping to access the cave without a lengthy hike. Not sure how far it is, but our hiking days are over. The road is rough, parking is more than adequate, and it looks nice. If you are a hiker, it looks like fun.

Really nice caves! Go early in the morning so there’s not too many people. This way you can hear the bats and birds around you.

Amazing creation of Mother Nature. Secluded and peaceful place in the mountains. Short drive from Lovech city. The place is full of history.

gorgeous cave in the middle of no where, as i was driving through the country roads, some with potholes, i am starting to wonder if it will be all worth it

yes it is. cave entrance is manned and payable (3 BGN). the cave is not that big, but outstanding feature is its multiple skylights. after this cave, i drove to see Lovech covered bridge, before continuing to another cave, Prohodna Cave

Vast cave structure... I was looking forward to visiting and he reality was even more impressive. A very easy few minute walk from the car park... Well worth the trip out to see. Especially in combination with the waterfalls nearby... 30 minute drive.

The second stop on our Bultrips tour, obviously we saw photos before booking but they didn't give you a real idea of the sheer size of the caves which you only really get the scale of when crossing the bridge on the approach.

On a sunny day such as when we went it certainly adds to the spectacle as the sunlight shines through the openings creating stunning photo opportunities.

The caves are a good way to spend an hour or so, just strolling round looking at the flora and fauna (we only really saw birds) and the remains of the old military base that was here until around 30 years ago.

A large car park and a small entry fee just make the experience even better. It is a little out of the way but more than worth the time.

Leaving you speechless! And hardly believe that it was used as military base till beginning of 1990-ties. Now only basements of fuel tanks left leaving you puzzled what are those constructions for. But other that that - perfectly resurrected place and worth to visit again and again.

Once a hidden military oil storage place, the cave is unique due to its "broken" walls and ceilings. It is also known as the home of many species of bats. Some plates in Bulgarian and English describe the cave and its history. It is definitely worth a visit. It can can be easily accessed by car from Lovech or from Pleven. A huge parking place is available ca. 200 m from the cave entrance. There is a small entrance fee.
