The island is really small so it’s actually a sandbank. Gorgeous water around it. You can relax there and have a swim. I can’t believe that it might be gone soon as it will disappear underneath the waves. We need to stop global warming to save places like this.
On the way you can visit to mangroves. Snorkelling isn’t that great as there are very few fish and the corals seem grey.
On the whole it was a great trip.

Try renting a boat or taking an organized tour to visit this small island till is still not covered by water. The island is more and more little an soon will disapear. No more trees on the island, exept the new ones. Sadly to found out the presence of a bar an barbeque.. not appropiate at all for this type of tiny wonder land...

It is a wonderful island what shows exatly what we do with our planet. The island is smaller and smaller year by year cause the global warming but still amazing advanture. Take a boat stay there for the whole day and on the way back wonder the mangrove. Make sure the company you choose will take you to the coral reefs and provide food and drink on the island.

This is very popular destination due to its visual attraction. The island is 60m x 20m and there are usually 10 - 15 boats at each time while the weather is nice. Grill parties and music are common. Not to do during high season, if You would like to contemplate the picturesque island of Blue Lagoon. There are no trees at the island temporary.

This was a 5* trip 3 yrs ago - scenic tour round the N coast, wade ashore, small atoll to walk over, swim, sunbathe then excellent BBQ lunch shaded from the sun under a canopy. Now the organisers tell us - owing to rising seas the atoll is cut in1/2, & lunch is on the trip boat - still good snorkelling on the reefs, nice trip round the mangroves and chance to snorkel there too, views are just as good - but not as it was - but as it is now, maybe worth it??

The only drawback with this tiny sand island is that too many boat trips go there. Find an excursion (such as Blue Lagoon) which goes to a different site.

Sand mining and storms have been degrading this sand island in the lagoon and there isn't much left.

The mature coconuts are gone and the newly planted ones are still tiny. While the cabins have mostly fallen into the sea.

Despite all those sad facts, it is a charming place to visit and snorkel around.

Lame snorkeling, but if it's on the way drop anchor and have a beer and a quick dip. Don't waste your time snorkeling, get out to the reef.
