This is really a stunning tree tunnel. But that's all it is. Since Game of Thrones the site has become more popular and if you hope you grab an iconic photo you need to arrive early- or late. Or be really quick. A nice spot to visit if you're nearby...

If you like nature and/or enjoy the movie Game of Thrones then this little detour is fun to drive through. try to come when it is not during busy periods or else you will get a photo with lots of people.

These trees are very pretty to see! To get good pictures you need to walk further down and stand in the middle of the road. Watch out for incoming cars!

By chance, we found this place. I fell madly in love with an Irishman on this trip, circa March 2012. You'll have to buy the book for the whole story when it comes out, but I will tell you...we first saw these magical hedges in a picture on the wall of a cafe in Ballycastle. We saw them again in... Impressively old and knarled beach trees forming a corridor, although the GoT pictures were CGI'd to make them more uniform. Still worth a visit. Try and get there when there are are no coach's as it can get very busy. Park at one end and walk the length of the trees, very impressive and only takes 30mins.

Amazing place to stop and enjoy ,nature at its wonderful ,best. Well known for its, Game of Thrones appearance the Dark hedges should not be known just for this ,epic show . Its awesome and the way the trees interlock and grow together ,i suppose the height of summer must show it at its best, but spring works well too.... More

Arrived at about 7 pm and the light hitting the trees was amazing - took some great photos - everyone wants to get there own photo either with their own family or an empty photo with just the trees - you need to park back at the hotel car park and walk up - it's a short walk and gives... More

These trees are beautiful and create the most amazing archway. Hurry soon to see them as they won't last long. Fun fact they turned some of the trees into doors at local pubs and we made a fun game of trying to find all the doors.

The trees are pretty and the underbrush has been removed from under the trees, so it didn't look as spectacular as the photos. people have carved their names and initials into most of the trees. You can drive your car through and most people do. There are many hedges like this in Ireland, I'm not sure what was so spectacular... More

Nothing to add to the other excellent reviews other than to say that a short stay for a photoshoot is really all that is necessary. Spectacular, but try to avoid the tourists!
