As my title suggests, our trip to the Dark Hedges was taken at a busy time of the day. However, we stayed patient and got some great shots as dusk was approaching and the sun was setting. Would recommend going early in the morning for sunrise. Definitely a worthwhile trip.

Time your visit carefully - there will be a lot of people here at the weekend. Makes both getting a photo and driving through problematic. But if you can get here at dawn or dusk, you'll get a view of 18th century trees that have been carefully shaped, like hands curling over the road. It's not far from the Giant's... More

If your a game of thrones fan you will find this place interesting, my husband and I have never watched game of thrones but really enjoyed walking the whole length and back again.its only about a 15-20 minute walk. The trees were planted in the 17th century.

Very nice and picturesque location. We went there through Paddywagon Day Trip and just had a small photo stop over there. And you won't believe, Just because Paddywagon was giving a stop here that is the only reason I chose Paddywagon over other day tour which was having some different itinerary. I visited in Dec but definitely it would be... More

I'm sorry but this place is painfully over rated. Yes, it's a pretty patch of road with some (pitiful looking) wiggly trees... but I couldn't believe that it had created so much buzz. None of the trees had any foliage on them (maybe just due to the time of year) but they looked sickly, broken down.. and if you wanted... More

Apart from the multitude of tourists, cars and coaches in the way of your epic photo opportunity, the road is as you see it in the famous photos. Either get there early or late to avoid everyone else. Worth seeing on the way back/to The Giants Causeway.

I am not afraid to admit that I love trees and when we were visiting Antrim this place was a must. Especially if you are a Game of Thrones fan. Well signposted and a right turn and voila there they are. Best to park then walk up and turn around, great views whichever side you start from. For the photographers... More

Well worth the visit, a little out of the way, but no complaints. The local traffic proved hazardous, but there is no parking area, so you are essentially walking along a narrow road with not much room to get off!

I assume Game of Thrones has made this place a must see. It was pretty cool and would have made for some awesome pictures If there weren't a ton of people walking and cars randomly parked up and down it.
