In a sunny day we visited that place. In the shore you are able to find a good restaurant. One bridge cross over the lake. Good place for relax or swim or walking. The landscape also beautiful.

The peak of the driving trip along the Abruzzo National park is definitely the family picnic on the beach of Lago di Barrea. There is a lifeguard on the beach and you can rent a boat for a reasonable price and appreciate the surroundings of...More

Not only the lake but certainly also Barrea itself is well worth your visit. Be amazed about the beauty of the village, and don't forget to visit the borgo. It'll only cost you 1 Euro.

Very pleasant to walk around. Still wild with not many people around in winter. Nice view of the local mountains around. Beware of sheep dogs.
