Very disappointing to trek through a building site to wine sales, only to be told in the most unfriendly way ,we are not doing wine tastings. These ladies showed no pride in their jobs or product.Maybe a sign at the entrance to warn visitors. This was very embarrassing as I had overseas visitors.

We drove around Rawsonville - visiting a couple of farms, tasting wine and enjoying the beautiful environment.

The experience at Du Toitskloof Cellar was very poor. There were about 20 people tasting wine and some were also buying. There were only 2 ladies trying their best to do an impossible job… taking ages to bring the wine and no time really to tell you more about the wine.

Just of the main road as you pass the tunnel , you have the best little restaurant at the cellar , with great food and service. We stopped early for breakfast and had the standard breakfast menu to pick from , but opted for something we have never had , bobotie pie. Really enjoyed it. We cannot drive past this stop , well recommended!

Always a stop when driving to Cape Town.

Good wine at excellent prices.
Great value for money.

We always stop at the Cellar as we enjoy their wines and it is a lot cheaper than at a shop.

Staff in tasting room was friendly and helpful. They had good knowledge of their wines.

Absolutely gorgeous. I am not a avid wine drinker but to my suprise we had an amazing time tasting the different wines. They give you the option of picking 6 wines to taste for free. The lady that helped us was unbelievably friendly and had wide knowledge about the wines. My loved one and I ended up buying 6 bottles of wine before leaving. It was truly a real treat and a place I would suggest everyone to visit.

Hi Mike_G6308, happy to hear that you enjoyed our wines. Ou Meul Bakery just opened their doors a week ago next to our Tasting Room, so the "farm stall shop and restaurant" has been upgraded ;) You should come through for breakfast or lunch and try out their menu! It's the best thing since sliced bread - (bread being the word).

I must say that we had the most amazing wine tasting there thanks to a young lad doing it for us. I am sorry we did not ask for his name.

We were on the way to Aquila safari and wanted to do a wine tasting on the way, since the road leads through winelands.

Du Toitskloof winery is easily accessible from N1. One of us had a birthday and we were served a glass of high quality brut (basically champagne) as a surprise! The waiter was brilliant young guy and knew loads of information as well as kept conversations going.

The tasting is free and one can choose number of wines. Wine is great and well priced. They also offer sparkling juice for drivers / kids.

There is a separate cafeteria on the premises, but we didn't try it out.

Hello rgrizane, Thank you for your review. The young lad's name is Marius Alberts and he's quite the charmer ;) We're really happy that you enjoyed your wine tasting and hope that Aquila was everything and more that you were hoping for it to be. The 'separate cafeteria' on the premises has now been upgraded to an Ou Meul Bakery (doors has been open for a week). They bake the most amazing pastries and the menu is filled with delicious breakfast and lunch options - worth a visit in the near future.
