Most of the reviews have been placed here incorrectly and are actually for the Phuket Town night market and not Chalong which is relatively small and within the Home Pro complex in Chalong.

If you want a knock off of something, cheap souvenirs, or great food, this is the place to go in Phuket. We got all of our gift shopping done here in one place.
It's easy to get lost here, so make some mental landmarks as you enter. It's hot, especially by the food stalls. Speaking of the food stalls, this is where you can eat freshly cooked insects if you so desire. I tried them all and it cost me less than $1. I especially liked the crickets. They taste like french fries. The lady will cook them up right in front of you, and hand you a bag when she's done. I also had different curries and pastries. I have no idea what was in them, but they were fantastic!
My wife got a knock off Issay Miyake bag for $40 and when she was in Nordstrom's the lady that worked there actually complimented her on it and told her what collection it was from. She gets more compliments on it then she does from her $2500 LV bag! Now that's quality criminal activity ;)
The vendors are really cool, and will negotiate. I would stay away from the watches, however. Even an untrained eye can spot these Chinese Omegas and Rolexes a mile away. But if you want one of these for your kid, you can get it for a song.
Getting there can be a pain. Take a taxi, scooter, Tuk Tuk, or go on a tour with one of the companies.

When in Thailand this is a must see attractions. Only open Sat and Sunday usually 5pm to 11pm if busy. Shorter hours if not
Toilets are a problem but 20Baht in some surrounding shops are available and cleaner. Lots of food trades and many many other stall for clothes, electronics, shoes and massages. Yes you can barter sensibly. Smile for a bargain.

During our stay in Phuket we visited this weekend night market which opens from 4pm to 11pm Saturday and Sunday only. We read that this was the largest market outside of Bangkok and it certainly lived up to that status. On one side are 3 lanes of street food, everything you can imagine from fresh crab cakes, grilled king prawns to fried insects! Everything is being cooked fresh, so don't fill up at the first stall you come across. The rest of the market sells all types of clothing, electrical items and leather goods. Prices overall seem cheaper that Bangkok but the variety was not as great. Finally after all the walking you can sit down for a great 1 hour foot massage in the market for 200bht. Enjoy.

Absolutely fantastic and great deals with the local people.
The most funniest thing was that the people show u the price with the calculator.

If your looking to buy any kind of Thai Souvenirs to take home like sportswear, luggage, designer caps, Jackets, Jeans, t-shirts, Thai or western Jewelry, assorted gifts to take home to the family of all types then this gigantic Thai Night Market is the place to go. There are covered walking Isles of venders row after row after row. So many venders that you may not complete walking the full night market in one visit. Then there is the long double sided isle of Thai food venders displaying & cooking everything from Thai seafood and shellfish to Thai dishes like green, yellow and red curry's. Save room for the Thai fruits & deserts because they are also awesome. Don't miss out on one of the greatest free tourist.attraction in Phuket. I have spent my winters in Phuket for the past 10 years and I always visit the night market at least once per month just to take an interesting walk, have a great meal or buy something personal for myself. Don't miss it!!

This Market is definately worth a visit if you are staying in Phuket!
Its a night market, and its open on a saturday and sunday. It usually opens about 4pm, but get there early as it gets very busy.
Its mostly all under cover, but it does get very hot, and if it rains OMG the place floods and you get very wet. Its quite an experience really, and you can only laugh, as its like a raging river running through the stalls. I would say put an umbrella in your bag.
There is so much on offer, like cheap trinkets, lots of fakes are availablet to buy, like bags, t shirts, sunglasses.
There are childrens toys, makeup and so much more.
There are also lots of food places to eat, but to be perfectly honest, we havn't been brave enough to try.
There is always lots of cabs outside to take you back to your hotel.
Go along and enjoy, we go there everytime we are in Phuket, and there is always something different to look at.

But it was still a fun find, a little disappointed it was not the right one though as we don’t have another Sunday here. Lots of food to choose from, loved the Dim Sum they were so yummy, the Roti Bananas were fab and the pork sticks...great flavor. We found the little Aussie bar that actually had COLD beer 🍻 great find. Gets very hot so take or buy a hand fan.

Go there on the last trip to Phuket and night market is super huge with quite a lot of street food stalls. They sell not only foods all the other fancy kinds of stuff and personalize items there. The price is also cheap but a bit crowded when we go there. Really satisfied with the foods they sell and the taste is also delicious.

Hi, is this market open in November? If so, around what times does it operate? Planning to spend the entire night in Patong.
Written 1 August 2018
I’m unsure what months they open and operating hours as I was visiting, the markets were definitely different (in a good way) if you search google I believe a bit more information can be found

Hi there, is this market open in October? And any recommendations would be highly appreciated? Looking for night markets, jet ski, quad bike cheap massage etc.
Written 13 October 2016
Hi, yes as far as I know it is open all year round. Just ask any taxi or tuk tuk driver and they will take you there. We didn't do jet skis or quad bikes, so sorry can help there. As for massages they all seem to be a similar price. But we did have a couple of cheap massages on the beach front near the beach entrance of the Horizon Beach Resort.

Hi how far is this place from old town Phuket?
Written 13 October 2016
My friend and I did a city tour today that went through old Phuket town and it was about a 5 minute drive to the markets from there, so not very far at all!

Hi there, my husband and I are holidaying in Kata Beach in December. Where can I find a really nice Buddha sculpture about 30 to 50cm high at a very very good price to bring back to South Africa?
