We give conducted tours of the Whaling Museum, restored Historic 1840's House and Gardens. We have picnic facilities so you can enjoy the grounds after the tour.

It is so much fun to find a museum run with passion and a desire to share. This little whaling museum doesn't have a full time staff, so visitors have to call to see if they can come. My husband and I called to see...More

Very informative and friendly guide helping us to learn all about whaling in Mangonui. The museum was a wealth of information displayed in a very accessable way. The home is beautiful and really well cared for. Gardens so vibrant and peaceful. Fantastic couple of hours....More
