This beautiful coastal footpath from the fort round to the cap Frehel is challenging as the path is very rock-lined, so you have to watch your footing all the time. But, the sea views are spectacular which more than make up for the exertion required.

We hired electric bikes and rode through the countryside till we reached the headland. We were stunned by the colour of the sand and sea and loved seeing all the birds!

After reading the wonders of cap frehel, it was a disappointment. In reality the view is beautiful, but I was expecting a wild place with rough seas. There are much nicer capes in France.
It is the starting point for several walks along the coast, which is why it is so popular. The lighthouse is just a lighthouse. The car park is paid, but the payment machines are a real nightmare.Very dificult to use. Giant lines to pay. That's why I gave up.
Beautiful place but nothing special

Shockingly beautiful area with the sea on one side and lush, wild-flower covered cliffs on the other. The stroll can be as along as you want, and we went for a good 3-hour walk in the sun. The area is full of purple, yellow and blue flowers that stretch on for ages, giving it great splashes of colour. The sea below is deep blue and the occasional sail boat can be spotted.

Of course the rough coast is beautiful, but I have seen better. But the heather here is just gorgeous.

Very nice spot, not too crowded (due to Covid?) Beautiful view of the cliffs. Nice to have an easy walk (you can do more if you like!). To get up the lighthouse you have to pay 3€ but its‘ worth it. Parking fee is 3€ for 3 hours (longer stay not possible) and keep 3€ in coins ready,it‘s easier and faster to pay this way.

maybe the most impressive part of the Bretagne coast. Not to be missed!
However they should fix the parking machines, because these were a mess and only accepted coins instead of the banking cards. Do not bother to climb the light house, the view from down below is just as good and use your time for a walk. Staff at ighthouse very unprofessional.

We took a deviation from the quickest route to take in the Cap on a sunny day. Car park for 3 Euros and dry toilets provided. There are many paths in different directions. We just explored the one to the phare (lighthouse). Good views of the sea and the rocks below.

We did the full circle from the far west end of Cap Fréhel to Fort La Latte, and it was amazing. The sea, the flowers, the amazing cliffs, everything was stunning.

The coast of Brittany is quite rough in most places, most certainly here. Cap Frehel is a picturesque peninsula protruding deep into the sea (the Channel) towards north and the island of Jersey.
There is a spacious parking area a short distance from the peninsula. A five-minute-walk takes you to the two lighthouses, the old and the new one. The old one was under renovation works, but that is no problem, since it is the new one that is prettier, higher and also the one visitors can mount.
When we were there, the wind was quite strong. But I can imagine that it is always windy there, the place is so exposed.
If you go about ten minutes further towards the end of the narrow peninsula, there is another structure there, an old tower. And if you look to the right on your way, you can see the fortress La Latte on the neighbouring peninsula and take some stunning photos.
