Absolutely not for adults. The facility was mostly closed in November, and the entrance fee was $26 for two adults. This is the most we paid for any entrance on our 20 days in the area. The displays are cheesy, and the water park closed. The animals in the ‘tiny zoo’ all needed medical attention (open wounds). The lighthouse and view are fine, but with so many amazing options costing so much less, this is a hard pass. The only benefit I can see is if you have a car full of hyper kids, this place gives you space for them to run and climb on some play structures.

We visited this attraction on a Wednesday morning. Without looking inside, we paid the pricey entrance fee. Once inside, we realized that we should have not gone. We were the only people visiting that day. The place was empty. The exhibits are aimed at small children; but if you don't have them...and you really wish to visit...rent some; otherwise, save your money!
The onsite cafe was out of just about everything. The food we did order was pretty lame.
The only thing we enjoyed was the view of the ocean.
All told, we were there less than 30 minutes.

We came here to learn about the history of the indigenous people's, the invasion/acquisition of the island and the viewpoints from the lighthouse. There are plenty of kids activities here as well - including some form of a water park with rides and such. The area is entirely wheelchair/stroller accessible and the views are phenomenal from the lighthouse.
Restrooms located in multiple locations + a food court and gift shop selling ice cream and souvenirs. The food court was closed during the week but we must reasonably assume that on weekends it's packed and fully open.
Parking available on site in a gated area for a nominal fee.

The viewsSummary of Arecibo Lighthouse & Historical Park:
The park offers scenic coastal views from its deck, but some visitors find it overpriced for the experience.
Key points include:
Limited historical content, despite its name
Lighthouse access is restricted to two empty rooms
Main attraction is the coastline and scenery
Short average visit time (around 30 minutes)
Family-friendly features:
Kid's area with old pirate ships
Water park
Live turtle on display (staff may interact with it)
Overall, the park seems better suited for families with children rather than history enthusiasts. The main draws are the views and kid-oriented attractions rather than historical exhibits or lighthouse exploration.

The actual lighthouse was closed due to COVID-19 when we visited, but the beach at the foot of the lighthouse was definitely the best beach we visited in Puerto Rico. Wish we had planned on a beach day - but lesson learned. Always be ready for the beach when traveling in Puerto Rico!

We just didn't go in, the same employee at the entrance told us that the pool was not working and our girls had arrived there with the hope of playing in the pool. How is it possible that in the middle of summer and with the heat in Puerto Rico they do not give priority to repairing any damage to the pool? Anyway, we came on vacation to Puerto Rico and what we have seen is eating tourism, everywhere you can see kiosk-type eating places, but nothing of quality to visit. Old San Juan itself, very deteriorated with abandoned buildings and little general maintenance.

I went to see the lighthouse they showed me some paperwork that said no charge for the light house. And said no you have to pay $17.50 includes the entire. The park is kid themed not worth your time. People are rude!! I left without seeing the lighthouse. Waste of time!!

The park was very run down and not much to do. We have two young kids (3/1) and the only reason we went was we needed a spot for them to burn off energy before we drove back to San Juan. The splash pad was fine but the changing areas and bathrooms were so filthy with no place to change a baby so we opted to leave. Not worth the almost $40 we spent.

You pay 12 dollars to see horribly mistreated animals, a creepy pirate exhibit with a depressing aquarium in the middle of it. No historical information. Not much to see. Just horrible.

The place is spacious and fun to take small kids in a hot, sunny day... To take advantage of all facilities and get your money's worth, try to get there at around 10 am. You'll see pretty much everything in about 2 hours. Bring pool attire or wear light clothes. That's because, after taking in the sites, you'll want to cool down at the slpash park. We spent another 2 hours there...
Another tip, bring munchies and drinks and keep them in your car. It's a short walk from the splash park to the parking lot, so you'll easily come in an out of the park all day. As a local, I strongly suggest parking inside the property. There is a tendency for stealing in the area, so put all valuables in the trunk and try not to look too turisty.. ;)
If you take these tips into consideration, you'll enjoy a nice day with family and friends.
