The green land where the sanctuary sits is beautiful. The elephants are charming. So fun to feed them, pet them and even go for a ride on them! The staff is fantastic -- from the front desk to the gentlemen who help manage the animals. They're all knowledgeable, fun, friendly and they obviously love the animals very much. Go, have... More

Being able to walk with these magnificent animals was very special. This sanctuary is small and therefore very intimate. You get to walk with the elephants hand in trunk and feed them. Very special and well worth a visit.

Last year was in Kruger park and I didn't get that feeling towards elephants as in this place. Walking with them and riding made it an unforgettable moment. Needless to mention that the staff are funny ,friendly and well-experienced. Don't miss it

We booked the walking hand in trunk with the elephants - what an amazing experience. The elephants are so beautiful. It's not fair to have favourites....but Merula was ours! An informative and fun experience.

We visited the elephant sanctuary this afternoon and it was truly an amazing experience! We were met by our guide who took us down to meet the elephants and explained where they came from and what had happened to them. Walking the elephants was brilliant and the ride was out of this world! All the guides were really friendly and... More

Seemed much more like a circus than a sanctuary to me. The elephants are trained to walk with their trunk in your hand for a few minutes and then perform a few tricks each. The handlers all carry a bull hook which they use as a training tool. If you have any reservations about bull hook use on elephants, I... More
