Neither of us like snakes but decided to visit this sanctuary as part of our tour. The ranger was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the variety of snakes in the sanctuary. We learned a lot about their habits. We both touched some small snakes and at the end felt confident enough to hold one of the constrictors. Amazing.

In this Snake Snake Sanctuary there is a great variety of different snakes. The guide is very knowledgeable about the snakes and can truly make your tour very interesting. I have been in man Snake Sanctuarys around our planet and this is definetly the best of them all. Here you get to see the snakes very well and you will... More

We went as a couple. It was truly amazing and worth every cent. Our guide, Wilmor, was so energetic and informative. We were busy for almost 2 hours. I recommend visiting the sanctuary to anyone, even if you are not snake lovers. You get to touch and hold some of the non-venomous snakes. The snakes are well looked after and... More

a 1.5 hour tour with a knowledgeable guide to see most of the well known african snakes and handle several (non-venomous!) ones. Well worth the fee!

Definitely a "must go" when in Plett. An amazing collection of well kept snakes. Our guide Ken was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his reptile family. He certainly made this our No. 1 experience in the Plett. area.

My friends and I spent about an hour and a half on the guided tour of the sanctuary and it was well worth it. We found out some interesting facts about local snakes, took some fantastic pictures and had a laugh along the way

We had a great afternoon experience at Lakewood Snake Sanctuary. They had all types of snakes that were both native to South Africa, the Africa continent and other countries. Our guide, Albert, was exceptional and well versed in snakes and other reptiles. We had a young son, 6, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience as did I and my husband. Plan... More
