Set in a tranquil setting, it was a good way to spend about an hour exploring the small grounds, cafe and souvenir shop.

Unfortunately, the season for lavender was over though they did have some in a tiny garden near the shop.

Entry was $200 each but you can redeem the entry token for $100 off any purchase.

My family and I really love this place and go there every time we visit Taiwan. It's a beautiful place to take pictures and buy/try lavender-flavoured products. The ticket value can be used to offset your purchases. The staff who work there are also very friendly and helpful!

But one should note that the souvenirs there are a little pricey. Do also take note that the place is very inaccessible and one would need to book a taxi or drive to this area (don't recommend the latter unless you have experience driving in Taiwan, the terrain is quite rough).

This cottage is quite far away from downtown. However, it is worth visiting. If the weather is good, you can take a lot of nice pictures.
In the post office, they will help you to send a postcard ‘in the future’. I really hope that I can get my one back years later, which sounds very interesting.
There’s only one restaurant, but they served good food.
A very quiet and cozy place.

Long drive to reach this Interesting place. We didn't explore much as we were pressed for time.

We took some pics, bought some small souvenirs and off we go.

beautiful and relax place to be in. enjoy the coldness of the place riding the carousel. lavender is beautiful and there is a wishing tree at the highest point, remember to have the wishing card before climbing to the top.....should spend 3 hours here doing nothing and just relax. they have meals and drinks too.

Beautiful place into nature. Better to take one’s time taking in the scenic views. Long drive to Lavender Cottage. Food is good but very long wait during peak lunch hour (30-40mins).

We booked a cab to tour around Taichung. It costs NT3000 for a day from 9am to 6pm. Lavender Cottage was 1 out of our 5 destinations. The place has a lingering smell of lavender. We did not stay for the night. 2 diners next to us stayed overnight at Lavender Cottage.

Must do/try:
1) Entrance fee: A token is given when entrance fee is paid. The token can be used to offset against the bill at its restaurant.
2) Restaurant: The roasted chicken is their speciality. The chicken meat was really juicy and tender.
3) Lavender ice cream: unique favoured.
4) Open-air washroom: super clean. Try their soap in the washroom (If you like it, you can buy from the souvenir shop. We did!)
5) Souvenirs: We bought the lavender and other soaps from their souvenir shop.
6) Merry-go-round: It is beautiful amidst the lavender.

Recommended by a friend and decided to check the place out. It’s about 3 hours drive from Chiayi, and the road leading to the park is rather narrow. Although am not a big fan of lavender, the faint smell of lavender helped to calm the tired mind. My favourite is a forest foot path - back to nature.
Highly recommended to try out the food at the cafe.

Always wanted to visit the lavender cottage because of the background story.

Once upon a time, two herb-loving good friends tired after working for years and decided to quit their jobs and start new lives as farmers.

Where else to visit with my bff but lavender cottage! Although we were not greeted with a field of lavender (not in season) but we were definitely charmed by the nature freshness and cutest surroundings and cafe.. The lavender latte and raspberry is worth mentioning. It was beautifully delicious!!

I certainly look forward to visit this cottage again... during the right lavender season of course 🐝🦋🐛
