It closes at 9 pm but when we left as the last ones at 8.30 pm they closed the doors behind us. Having the place to ourselves was great and the masses of red lampoons in the night were magic

Had half a day to spare. We took the metro to Taipei zoo station. Then the gondola ride to the temple. The ride up to the temple offers a great view of the city. The temple is well worth a visit. A very pleasant way...More

If you are heading up Maokong mountain, then this is a must visit attraction. The temple is beautiful and the views ares stunning. One of the best temples we saw in Taiwan and relatively quiet.

Was a nice hike up there and took the gondola up to Maokong station. The temples weren’t crowded. You get a very beautiful scenic view from the south of the temple.
