It is definitely a great attraction in Taipei, especially it is located in this historical area. If you love the history and enjoy China civil war, you can explore more stories here.
You can enjoy the different seasonal scenery and decoration here, just get rid of some big festival flora there are crowded people, you can see the people only.
Every time visiting here is to refresh myself and enjoy the fresh air and think of the history.
It is one of the best attractions in Taipei.

It is difficult for anyone without a knowledge of the history of modern China to appreciate the significnce of this estate. It was the Residence of Chiang Kai-shek, the man who had ruled the Republic of China from 1928 until his death in 1975. Chiang governed with an iron fist and no average person would have dreamed of entering here.It is therefore understandable that this picturesque estate retains its mystique almost 50 years after Chiang's passing.

The Official Residence was the home of Chiang Kai-shek, known as the Generalissimo, who was President of the Republic of China on Taiwan. Chiang was a strict disciplinarian who was more feared than loved. The ROC began to liberalize and evolve into the vigorous democracy it is today under his son, Chiang Ching-kuo. If there is a figure in Chinese history President Chiang resembles its is Tsao-Tsao. No-one would dare even utter Chiang's name. There's a saying in Chinese "Say Tsao-Tsao, Tsao-Tsao will come."

I came here and visit a few times. I finally took the tour of the residence. It provided a good history of Chiang Kai Sak. The garden setting is beautiful and peaceful. The residence is not large so it is not too difficult to walk through the vicinity.

This is purely for adults and those who are interested in history. It gives us a glimpse into the everyday live of the man who serve in the military and politics throughout his life. No photographs can be taken inside.

If you love flora and fauna and gorgeous gardens, then I recommend that you visit this attraction in Taipei's Shilin District.
This garden is one of the best kept gardens I have ever seen. The variety of flowers and foliage is spectacular. I just fell in love with the Orchid exhibit, so I took many photos of the different orchids in bloom!
There is a nice place to stop along the way and get a snack or drink. We enjoyed this CKS Garden so much that we spent almost 4 hours here, and could have spent the whole day!

This somehow austere house was the official residence of Chiang Kai-shek. Admission only costs 100 NTD and is fully worth it. The place is quite small but offers a glimpse of the life of the former Chinese leader. Beware of the opening hours.

Described as the weekend backyard of the Taiwanese people, this historical site opened to public is beautifully maintained. There are various areas of the residence within the park that is tranquil for families, with a considerable amount of seating available.
Entry to the official residence-the blue house is a worthwhile visit, with a decent entry fee, you area also equipped with an audio-set detailing the stories of the humble yet grand house of well respected leaders significant to Taiwan's history.
There is also a café near the entrance with local specialties and a souvenir adjacent to that.
I was lucky to have caught the Tulip exhibition towards the end of Chinese New Year, which added a lot of color to my visit.

This is not a tourist place to go. Having visited Taiwan for the third time, our personal tour driver brought us to this park where it was the official residence of Chiang Kai-shek and his wife Soong Mei-ling. As it was in December, nothing much really blossom. It was kind of raining in December. The park was quite nice to drop by for a visit and if you are interested in the history of it, do eavesdrop some of the China tour where the guide would give you a better mention of the place. Apart from that, the souvenir shop had a range of interesting gifts.
