This is an excellent tourist spot. Must-visit when in Taipei. Takes a while by train to get there, taxi is another option. Famous for sky lanterns. Has variety of decent eats. Walking distance to the waterfall.

Actually the scenic area is a large open park like area between the Shifen Old Street & Shifen Waterfall. It's a nice place to stroll and just relax, & enjoy the beautiful serene natural surrounding sceneries.
