This is a sprawling complex of pagodas, many of which stand empty and others have temples and shrines, which is very close to the Longshan Temple and well worth seeing them both. Free to enter and wander around the buildings, there are also very nice gardens.

Located in the complex of Lukang Wenwu Temple, which gathers a Wu Temple, a Wen Shrine and the Wenkai Academy inside a beautiful garden. A bit apart from the main other places to see in Lukang but definitely worth the visit for the peaceful atmosphere of the old stones and trees. A visit with a guide is a must for those interested in the specificity of Wenwu Temples.

Wenkai Academy is located in a complex south of the center where there are also two other temples, the tourist information office (which is not very helpful and lacks information in English), surrounded by a beautiful garden. The academy was constructed in 1827 where the best scholars prepared for imperial examinations in Beijing. There are some wonderful wood carvings so take a few minutes to walk through the buildings or relax in the shade of the trees in the garden

This attraction consists of 3 buildings side by side the Tutorial Academy and two other builds there is a garden in front of the buildings and it's a good place to take photos. When we visited the Tutorial Academy was shut for renovations so we couldn't look inside.
