Located at the Southern end of the coastline Eluanbi lighthouse, and its adjacent park is an essential visit if staying in the area. The lighthouse itself has no public entry but there is a small exhibition room giving information although nothing is in English. Adjacent to the lighthouse there is a small park with several walking routes which includes great observation points overlooking the ocean. Very good signable within the park. There are toilets at the entrance and a number of market stalls selling food, clothing and jewellery. A further 15 minute walk from here but outside the park takes you to Taiwan’s southernmost point. This involves going back to the Eluanbi entry point as the gate which would have provided a short cut was locked. A visit with a walk around the park takes about two hours.

- From entrance to lighthouse, there is quite a walking distance (no shelter, so do bring a hat or an umbrella).
- In the park there are vending machines selling drinks and a shop selling both drinks and souvenir.
- Not a must-visit if you are rushing for time.

Eluanbi Lighthouse is the southern most point of Taiwan. It is in the South China Sea, it is the last point between Taiwan and the Philipppines. It's known as "the Light of East Asia" because it's the brightest lighthouse in Taiwan. Eluanbi Lighthouse is worth a look if you are visiting Kenting National Park.

There are numerous food sellers here who sell real bad tastings food here. Lavatories are not clean. Water is not warm compared to other places in Taiwan.

Kenting has a lot of beautiful seas,so if you like to play in the water you must go there! The weather in Kenting is hot.If you don’t like the sunshine, you can’t go there in summer.Kenting Street has a lot of delicious food and drinks. There are also a lot of people,so you need to wear a mask to protect yourself and prevent virus. Finally,Kenting is worth a visit. You can choose four days to have your relax trip! There are also a lot of beautiful guesthouses.I think you don’t need to choose the expensive hotel.Hope these suggestions can help you.

Sweeping views of a beautiful lighthouse in a lovely park makes a trip to southern Taiwan more complete.

Well not much to say but if you have time to take a scooter to the southernmost point of Taiwan it's worth it. It doesn't take very long to get there and the hike after you get off your bike is only 500 m.

Entrance fee is TWD60 per person. It was sunny and not many shelters, a few small little interesting caves to explore. The area around the lighthouse is under renovation. Can give it a miss if you not an extreme nature lover.

Its just a small historical point with big park and is near the south most point of Taiwan.

Its good place to walkaround with beautiful sea views and some oppurtunity for bird sightings.

Some history is also associated with the place.

The lighthouse was being renovated. You can’t go into the lighthouse.
It’s just the gardens around it.
