Well worth the jaunt out here from Chongqing. Was not prepared for the incredible cliffs towering above. The natural bridges are amazing and so picturesque. Makes you feel like an ant walking around there. The elevator down is pretty cool and a few transformers scattered around adds an interesting touch. Highly recommended.

You can easily do this independently of a tour group (and thus more cheaply) by taking the long-distance bus from Chongqing (about 2 hours) to Wulong followed by a half-hour shuttle bus (passenger van) up to Xian Nu Shan (sometimes pinyin is Xiannvshanzhen) where, at the huge new tourist centre (can't miss it + at least one english-speaking staff on-hand),... This place is a hidden gem when it comes to backpackers traveling to Chongqing. Absolutely breathtaking. Must-see if you are in Chongqing imo.

How to get there from Chongqing: Line 3 metro to SiGongLi then it's 2min walk to SiGongLi bus station wrongly signposted close to the metro exit as 'Sigongli rail hub'. Bus to Wulong town takes 2.5 hours. Go inside the Wulong Town bus station and tell them/show at the ticket counter that you want to go to the Three Natural... More

I feel totally amazed at the nature wonder. The caves and mountain views are spectacular. You basically walk inside massive caves and under the stone bridges. It is the place where Transformers 4 took its closing shots

If your plan a tour in Chongqing region, this is one of the three sites I nominated "never to be missed" in this region. Make yourself fascinated by the terrific working of nature! Avoid any Chinese holidays!

You must witness this place with your own eyes at least once in your life time. I really loved how this attraction only had hawkers selling unrelated trinkets at the national parks exist point.

We did a day trip out from Chongqing which was about a 3 hour bus ride each way. The hotel hooked us up with a tour company that wasn't really for westerners, so there was very little english spoken. If you don't speak any Chinese, make sure you get on a tour that is for english speakers. This site took... More

It was spectacular. More than I bargained for for. Wear some comfortable walking shoes. The descent into the gorge was a bit of a hike, but fraught with wonder and beauty. They do have bong-bong guys to carry you in a chair if it becomes too much. I'm over 60+ and overweight, but had no issues.
