Visited the Aerial Boardwalk at Dlinza forest which is almost an unknown area to most South Africans. Decided on a birthday celebration for my man here. A lovely day visit and pleasant drive from Durban and we are there 2hours and 20 mins later even with heavy Durban traffic. The Boardwalk was lovely though not as amazing as other writers... More

A wonderful little natural forest. Very peaceful with a fun 1.5km walk and great views of the treetops from the boardwalk. Great spot for a picnic.

In spite of being right next to the center of Eshowe town, this forest park seems in another world. I spent over an hour just taking photos of ancient trees of varieties I had never seen before. And best of all a blue duiker kept circling me for at least 15 minutes as I took over 50 shots of it!

Feels like the original forest it is. Boardwalk not the highlight, rather the trails and the close up views of Blue Duiker! Morning best time to visit.

Beautiful forest location. Basic kitchen offer, toilets clean . Prefer soap dispenser and paper towel for hand wash. The walk itself was stunning.

Definitely worth a visit for nature enthusiasts (like ourselves). Had our first sighting of blue duiker here, would never have expected it to be so amazing!!! Entrance R40 per adult and R10 per child. The view from the boardwalk was great, the walks through the forests even better.

Where else will you find a Forest virtually surrounded by a town. This 250ha pristine forest is surrounded by the town of Eshowe, once the capital of former Zululand. There is a 10m high, 127m long Aerial Boardwalk (terminating in a 20m high tower)where one can wander through the forest canopy, whilst, below, one may see an occasional Duiker furtively... More

I've always wanted to do this as its 1.5 hours drive away from my home and sounds like a great outing. Firstly, try to do this as early as possible as they open at 6 AM if you are keen on seeing birds. I'm not the biggest birder per-se, but take a camera and some binoculars if you can. Right... More
