They are ruins, no one denies that, but it is a really nice place and it allows you to dream on what it could have been. It's a very romantic place and interesting historical visit.

There was once a beautiful castle on top of a rock, based on a roman settlement. It lasted 250 years or so and then it got destroyed. One way or the other, it never got rebuilt. You need some imagination to understand how it looked....More

My family stumbled upon this gem while visiting a well known abbey close by. We enjoyed roaming the ruins and learning the history of the chateau better than our original destination. A big plus was they have the literature available in English.

Better insure to have time and good weather,not many tourist so u canenjoy castle ruines.perfect view from ruines to the deep forest and mountains. Access cost 4 euro
