The Dashbashi Canyon was a wonderful gorge to hike through and explore the scenic waterfalls.
Until the Jewish Kass Group decided the commercialize this unique nature by building an atrocious metal/glass bridge over it and charge people entrance fee for the privilege of a visit. The site is further spoiled by hotel rooms, zipline, giant swing and blaring pop-music.
The views from the unsightly "diamond" are good, but it is no longer a natural experience. Why would anybody want to do this and who authorized this monstrosity ?!

Dashbashi Canyon( Tsalka Canyon ) in Georgia is a deep mountain gorge situated 100 kilometers west of Tbilisi in Tsalka Municipality.Young pony tailed Mr Milhail was our guide and at 1010hrs began our 95 Km road travel to Dashbashi Canyon from Meidan Square in Tbilisi Old Town .We were a small group of Asian tourists .It was a 2 hrs road journey across the mountainous roads. On reaching Dashbashi canyon "Visitor's Entrance" on payment of 49 GEL entered the " Diamond bridge" complex of the Canyon. This 240-meter-long glass bridge features a "diamond shaped" bar and is located at a height of 280 meters(919 feet) above ground level of the Dashbashi gorge which is said to be the largest and tallest hanging structure in the world. The venue has reportedly been submitted to the Guinness World Records., Walked the length of the bridge and later visited the hanging " Diamond Bridge" restaurant having a cup of coffee..Later inquired about the extreme adventure sport of cycling across Dashbashi Canyon which was a princely 120 GEL.After completing this unique not for faint hearted extreme adventure sport strolled around Diamond Bridge . Later our group had a nice longwalk to the bottom of Dashbashi Canyon onto the gorge which has a perineal Spring waterfall.was lucky to get a photo clicked against the cascading waterfall which had a rainbow formation. From the waterfalls returned back to the top in a shared taxi costing 8 GEL.Finally made our return road trip back to Tbilisi. If visiting Tbilisi make the Dashbashi tour mandatory and if brave enough do the extreme adventure sport of "Dashbashi canyon zip cycling".

Totally overrated. It's a shame what they did to this beautiful natural sight. The Kassland Development has destroyed the beauty of the place with its awful hotel, the unnecessary bridge, and fully restricts access to a natural wonder. The walkway and metal platform restrict access to the site and rather than preserving the place there is construction waste laying around like spray cans, broken metal fencing, etc. Avoid and discover Georgia's real nature.

The 2-hour drive from Tbilisi is worth it. The Diamond with glass bridge is impressive. The waterfalls and river are lovely. And the bike ride across is a one of a kind thrill. My friends and I enjoyed it.

Somehow I didn't enjoy the glass bridge (No fear factor), but the hiking to the waterfall was impressive and also tiresome. Hiking is not fit for light hearted as the climbdown and climbup are very steep. The tour company I choose, just gave us 2 hours to spend there, which is clearly not enough

Beautiful scenery and great if you like hiking. However the highlight is the glass bridge and even more so, the bike ride across the canyon. A must.

This attraction is on a higher level than the regular ones in Georgia, most probably since it was devised and designed by external entrepreneurs. Beautiful and carefully maintained, the (partially) glass Bridge and the (fully) glass diamond building in the middle are real masterpieces. The trail leading down is pretty walkable, and the brook with a small waterfall at the bottom are vivid and refreshing.
But keep in mind there's nothing to do onsight beyond an hour and a half or so, except for an overpriced coffee shop, while you'll probably need around 2 hours to get there from Tbilisi. The only other attraction in the area is Paravani lake, which can be nice in summer, but not really spectacular. If you like trekking, you may find interest in crossing the area. In general, I think they could select another gorge closer to the capital and build exactly the same structure above and inside it.
A point for those with mobility imparements: I'm very much sure you can't go in, even if have a motorized cart - a significant part of the trail passes on stairs.

Located at about 2hrs drive from Tbilisi, Dashbashi Canyon is a beautiful place for a day trip. We followed google maps until we reached ‘Family Hotel’ where a signboard shows Dashbashi Canyon hiking trail to the left. Follow the trail and if you are physically fit, its definitely recommended to hike all the way down to the base of the waterfall. Took us about 30 mins to go down even though we had to be extra careful as it had been raining all day. Walking back up is a bit more difficult but there are local guys that offer horse rides for the last 10-15 mins back up (about 20 GEL per person). Waterproof shoes would be ideal.
