The essence of the place is romantic and eccentric and what a fabulous feel. Perfect time of year to visit as primulas and ligularias were flowering. A lovely 'private' garden and un-commercial. Well worth the entrance fee.

Water Gardens a delight - cream tea fresh, homemade and delicious! ! Added bonus of being able to purchase plants from on site nursery. Thoroughly enjoyable half day.

We had a lovely wander around here shortly after it opened in the Spring Probably the first weekend.it was a beautiful day some early summer plants sprouting It was just so peaceful We didn't eat at the cafe but the food looked lovely
