This is the market we all dream of-so big, so much variety and really everything you can think of and every type of food-it's amazing. We walked it for 2 hours and never completed half of it-it's huge and goes for streets and streets. Huge variety, a few double ups but lots of handicrafts and hand made items. Delivers everything... The market, which is only on Sunday night, takes over the main east/ west street in the old town, but also spills out to the North and South. We were determined to see it all, and after four hours walking, I think we did it, the market is absolutely huge. Great range of street food, and loads of very cheap... More

Recommended by our Wendy Woo guide, we took a tuktuk cos it was a bit far to walk. Everything you can imagine on sale, and an appetizing selection of food. My wife indicated a dish and was told 'very hot' . We were in a mixture of locals and tourists and like everywhere we went in Thailand we felt very... More

This night market only open at Sunday night. It is behind the historical wall. At first you only saw only an open entrance but after you enter it there will be a wow for you. This is the largest night market I had visited. I couldn't finish walking, it's looks like endless. Variety of street foods to eat and countless... More

Look anywhere in Thailand and you'll see someone smiling, someone laughing, and so much love amongst the people and their families. The Sunday night walking markets feel much more local, less touristy as the vendors cater to their local friends. Huge variety of street foods and drinks to choose from, toys for kids, Thai clothes, and lots of shoes. Not... More

I love the independent, creative vibe of this shopping street! Other shopping streets in other cities and or countries mostly sell mass produced things that are mostly made in China -- but this one is different. I love that almost every stall is unique, and the designers and makers of the merchandise are the ones actually manning the stalls so... More

On Sunday night a number of streets in the main city are closed to vehicle traffic and filled with a huge variety of vendors. The streets fill up fast so go early, because it did get extremly crowded. There were many local handicrafts, a great variety of cooked foods and wonderful fresh fruits. My only regret is that I didn't... More
