WE loved being with these sensitive animals and their handlers. The ride through jungle and stream was breathtakingly beautiful. They performed well in the show which included painting. An exquisite opportunity for learning, adventure, and beauty.

What an amazing day we spent at the Elephant Training Camp. Walking about the grounds provides one with unlimited learning opportunities. Watching the mahouts lead the elephants about performing tricks, bathing and feeding is a once in a life time experience. The hour elephant ride through the jungle and small stream was absolutely incredible. Fortunately the seat had padding on... More

Only a short drive outside of Chiang Mai. You will walk among these amazing animals, watch them bath in the river, perform and use their artistic talents. Touch and love on them. Also take a ride upon these gentle giants thru the countryside, into the river, and thru the jungle. Take an OX cart ride. I felt that the trainers... More

What can I say, this was the best experience I've ever taken part in. From start to finish this was amazing. Everyone involved really cares about all of the elephants, and comes across very concerned about there welfare. Being a mahout for the day was full of extremes, washing in the river and rolling in the mud. Riding on the... More

personally i wouldn't ride these magnificent creatures - however if you must do it this place appears to be ok - the painting the Elephants do is rather impressive I have to say and that is worth seeing - also seeing them kick giant footballs with impeccable timing is great Its about an hour outside of Chiang Mai (too hot... My husband and I booked a trip to Elephant Training Camp whilst staying in Chiang Mai. This transfer was about 1 hour from Chiang Mai. The day started off with a demonstration of the elephants demonstrating their skills and we were blown away by the elephant painting - see photos. We then trekked through the jungle on an elephant (wear... More

Well worth the trip....see the elephants in the river being washed and feed them if you wish. Watch the elephants play football and carry out various tricks....but do not miss them painting on canvas they are brilliant and the paintings can be purchased for about £35. Have your photo taken with the elephants trunk wrapped around you. Then walk around... More

About 1 hour 10 mins drive from our hotel in central Chiangmai, the elephant treking was a brilliant experience. The handlers will even let you "drive" the elephant you're riding, sitting directly on the elephants neck, with your legs behind his ears. The elephants appear to be well looked after and love being fed bananas and sugar cane. Great experience... More
