We were at the Nativa Park in Solferino last week ( 3rd week of January). It is located in the proximity of the protected natural area of Yum Balam. It has been open since last September and is constantly adding some attractions. We took WILD tour. It was a lot of fun driving ATV through freshly cut trails in the jungle. There was a bit of rain a couple of days before and roads were quite challenging and it only added to the adventure. We had very passionate and knowledgeable guides (Isa, Artur and Rene) who made the experience particularly enjoyable. They explained how the park was created and how it operates which is very respectful of the environment and sustainable. We took a couple of hiking loops explaining a fauna and flora of the area. I especially enjoyed information on how Mayans lived in the area for millennia and how closely their history and culture is interwoven with the natural environment and the riches of the jungle. We also enjoyed canoeing on the lake / marsh teaming with birds.
We took a trip while vacationing on Isla Holbox which is not far away.
I would love to take some other trips offered by the Nativa Park, like bird watching for example, but unfortunately we ran out of time.
After the adventure we had a locally flavoured meal at lovely swimming pool.
I highly recommend visiting the Nativa Park

I went with a group of 7 last week to visit Nativa Natural park, we took the ATV and canoe tour (there are more). The arrival was at the office and we were met by the owner and the guide for a ride on a van to the park. On our Arrival, another tour guide explained us what the significance of Nativa is and we were shown a brief movie. After the Biologist came and we were taken via ATV (great fun thru the muddy ways) to a 20m TOWER overlooking the Mayan jungle!! after that we went via ATV to a jungle path where we were explained the flora and fauna of the place. Then we took another drive to DAKINI lagoon, a wonderful crocs filled lagoon where we `kayaked ´(boats for 3) to an incredible wat4er lilies space. AMAZING and filled w incredible NATURE: surely recommended to know this part of the world that is still almost untouched

We got up early to head over from Holbox after hearing about this park from our diving instructor. Nativa is a great idea, a rainforest reserve with a variety of tours through the jungle.
We chose a nature visit, called “Sight”, seeking out the local birdlife. Whilst we weren’t so lucky with capturing everything on camera, we did have fun trailing through the forest especially with our very knowledgeable guides Francesca and Arthur.
The team were very enthusiastic to show their park and to explain its place in the Peninsula. Great, clean facilities and a lovely breakfast (much more than just a buffet).

John and Scott, your visit at Nativa were amazing, we were so excited to show you Nativas trail and the ecosystem we preserve here. It was a blast, thank you for that. We hope you keep this experience through the mayan jungle in your memorie and your sense forever. As you said is great to go out from the routine and seek for new adventures at least once in a while. You could also always come back as your totally welcome.
Nativa's team wish you the best back home.

Our experience with Reserva Nativia was amazing. If you are looking for a real, authentic adventure in the heart of the jungle, Reserva Nativia is the place to go. We stayed in town at a lovely little air b&b "Casita Magica" also highly recommended for those with an adventurous heart. We rode ATVs into the jungle and discovered so many treasures in the area, from a jungle apiary to a majestic lagoon. The area boasts beauty around every corner from the thriving lagoon chock full of native birds, crocodiles, frogs and countless fauna all encapsulated by the Mayan jungle and all its hidden wonders. You will not be disappointed! The tour guides are supremely knowledgeable having lived in and around the area their whole lives. They were more than happy to share their knowledge with curious hearts like myself. When you return to town your senses will be delighted with the tastes of Solferino. We were served a delicious meal that I won't soon forget. I will definitely be returning with my kids to this small village and take another tour with Mexico's best, Reserva Nativia.

We booked the Mayan Peten Tour and we had a great time. We did some 4x4 in the jungle and boat in a natural pond. The view and the environment were truly spectacular ! Our guide was very kind and passionate about his job. I would definitely recommend this tour. The only negative point was the lunch that was very disappointing. The starter was great : a tortilla with edible flowers. It was authentic and a great discovery of the mayan food. However the main course was overcooked pasta with cheese... not exactly what we expected especially after reading the greats comments about the food.

My wife Barb and I did the same Wild tour 3 weeks ago with the 2 previous reviewers and we also had a fantastic time. We got a bit muddy on the super fun ATV ride but nothing compared to them. They were a mess but we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. The birds, crocodile, the canoeing, the great ATV rides and all the food they fed us was great. Our guide Christopher was fantastic, what an energetic, fun and knowledgeable guy. He certainly loves his job and it showed as he made the day above everything else. We highly recommend the Solferino Nativa Wild Tour !

My dad and I went on the Wild tour today with Christopher, Annie and Kit and it seriously exceeded my expectations. The whole crew were so warm and welcoming, took the time to speak in multiple languages and made sure everyone understood and had their questions answered before we continued.
The park itself is breathtaking - the ATV ride through the jungle is insanely fun, the lookout was beyond beautiful, the canoe ride was exceptionally amazing. We saw so many birds, crocodiles and other wildlife and the crew made sure we knew the name of every bird that past and the history of the land. They really care and respect Mayan culture and the land and ensure you leave knowing you were in a special place.
Open minded team accepting of all persuasions, religions and people.
20/10 would recommend, honestly a must!!

Hola Marcelato, disculpa la demora de la respuesta. El parque sí es accesible para personas de la tercera edad. Generalmente para personas que les guste la naturaleza, no hay edad. Que pases un lindo día.
Y te esperamos aquí, en Nativa.
