It costs €5 each but worth the visit into the cave. Be aware though, there are a lot of steps! Definitely do not wear sandals as the steps can be slippery. Definitely should be near the top of your list of things to visit whilst...More

Visited the caves whilst travelling around the island of Kefalonia. Large car park with free parking. You enter though a narrow entrance and go down numerous steps (not for the faint hearted or people with waling difficulties. It is well light when you get to...More

The cave is accessed via a lot of steps which can be slippery so would recommend sensible footwear. The cave is predominantly 1 large cavern with lots of stalactites and interesting rock formations. There’s a large cleared space where they hold concerts in high season....More

It was ok but seen better in the UK in the Peak district. Lots of pieces missing due to being sold or stolen. Home baked food in the cafe on the left hand side of the car park was nice.

Similar to the nearby Melissina lake, this cave is a natural landmark that has been fenced off and sold as a tourist attraction. The entrance fee is small enough to make the giant step into the unknown and thankfully it was worth the money. The...More

Lovely couple of hours spent mooching around the cave and taking pictures! Be warned - there are loads of steps into and out of the cave and they are pretty steep so not recommended for pushchairs or anyone with mobility issues or even heart issues...More

We hired a car and stopped here around 10:30 am before the queues! There are quite a few steps down but take your time. We spent around 30 mins altogether exploring on our own and looking at all the colours. Amazing to see and the...More

This is a fascinating attraction 3 km from Sami in the area of Haliotata. Situated 120m above sea level and the cave descends to a depth of 95 metres. Temperature is 18 degrees Celsius, a welcome relief from hot weather. The cave is very large...More

Fantastic experience and amazing to see. Lots of steps down and back up again so be warned if you have mobility problems but well worth the effort even if you have to take your time with the steps (as I did).

Visited as part of a highlights tour of kefelonia and was definitely worth it, lots of steps so be careful if your afraid of heights and slightly unfit!! Probably not worth it if your are just coming to look at it on its own.

From memory the entrance says no photos but I was able to take some when inside and everybody was. A tripod may probably be pushing it.
