The monumental complex of Valsanzibio is absolutely worth a visit not only for its artistic but also botanical beauties. Centuries-old boxwoods kept with skill and respect for nature. Don't miss a visit to the symbolic labyrinth. Trained and highly helpful staff.

I went with my 13 year old son to visit this monumental historic garden: the villa is in fact very small and is closed to the public because it is reserved for special events and filming.
the guide is recommended because he is very knowledgeable and tells details that obviously cannot be known to the average tourist. My son had a lot of fun doing the maze which you pay for with a separate ticket.
It is advisable to bring fresh water at the start of the tours even though the guide was very careful by making us stop in the shade since the guided tour took place at midday, so we didn't suffer too much from the heat.
It was really interesting to discover a family's passion and care for this incredible green heritage

Beautiful garden with marked paths, hidden paths, centuries-old trees, fountains and water features, all designed following specific allegories. There is also ample space for picnics and relaxation. Modest cost, small extra price for the (real) labyrinth which took us about twenty minutes to walk before finding the exit. The children (3 and 7 years old) also loved it.

These gardens are a little treasure, compact, allow an hour or hour and a half to walk round and take photos. There is no access to the house but although relatively small the gardens are beautifully laid out with many water features, a maze and many vistas to please the eye. At around 9 euro they seem a little expensive but we enjoyed the visit and felt they were worth the price. Be aware they close the gates for an hour at 1pm so if your in then you stay in till 2pm. There is a small cafe with self service machines so bring change along and you'll also find some well kept toilets.

I'm not a garden-gourmet. But Barbarigo Garden in Valsanzibio is amazing! Diana's Pavillion with pond in canes is just like from an Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. Everywhere in the garden you feel the ancient times breathing although the garden is not so old (about 250 y.o.)

This whole park and Villa are under private property, the park is available to visit, but the area around Villa is not possible to see. Park is full of very old trees and interesting pathways

The Venetian style mooring posts are still in place outside the river entrance to the Villa Barbarigo but the days are long gone when you could have arrived by boat. Instead the pedestrian entrance off to one side is like entering the garden via the back door!
The garden is a mixture of formal and informal sections with a central axis running from the former river entrance to the far end of the garden with a main cross path leading to the Villa itself. As with many historic villas the building today seems to be unoccupied as all the windows had the shutters closed so it’s unlikely that anyone lives in it now.
Plenty of water features – large ponds on the central axis with black swans demanding food from visitors, so bring some bread rolls from your hotel breakfast! There are several fountains and Rabbit Island where rabbits run free but are confined to the island.
Significantly there is a huge maze in the garden and it is extremely challenging. The hedges are thick and above head height so one simply has to follow the paths and hope you manage to get out! Two of our party got into a state of panic as they couldn’t find their way out and had to be guided by colleagues overlooking the maze from a central tower. Having passed the emergency exit five minutes earlier and then coming across it again my wife and I (followed by two Germans who decided that we knew what we were doing) opted for the easy way out without actually finding the correct exit. Great fun but don’t let the kids in by themselves, unless you want an hour’s peace that is!”
Apart from the formal central structure to the garden there are also more open areas reminiscent of a city park.
The former stable block serves as a small souvenir shop and there are toilets there as well.

Unexpected and beautiful! Could not believe the detail and the character. Surrounding areas are a great place to drive around and explore, too!

The garden and vila are not far from thermal towns in vicinity but not everyvody knows for them! It is worth effort to visit the garden as it is something special. In a way tipical italian, but it is worth to visit it with a guide so you learn more about purpose of creating it in a way it is. There is also the maze, rabbit island, fountains, monuments, shaddy walkways, .. and free parking in front of the garden

If you are in the region, a few hours walk through this beautiful garden will be worthwhile. Ancient trees, many over 350 years, have been surrounded by shady paths and fountains; originally designed to be a pathway to god. It includes an amazing maze, a grotto, a series of lovely ponds and a beautiful watery entrance. White and black swans, ducks and turtles and lots of sweet little lizards, add to the peace of the place

We will be travelling to Padua by train. How far is it to walk? Please give directions if this walk is possible. It will be a day trip from Verona. Thanks.
