When we approached these deer stones looked like small version of Stonehenge or Easter Island. Long groups of up right stones some 1.9 m tall and engraved with patterns of dear structures, hunting knives,Bow and arrows and moon and sun. They were set up in such a way they acted like sum dials!!!!
People of nobility are buried under them and not so high upnin the family are buried in a sitting position with a circular rock formation around them.
Dated 900 BCE!!!!! As old as the egyptians

The Jargalantiin am is the biggest Deer stone complex in Central Asia. It is all year around open and located close to Khanui, a small local town. During summer season there are full of nomadic people around the site and they are very welcome people to visit to taste the milk products made by them, especially airag. It is must see historic place if you are in Arkhangai, Mongolia
