I've played every course on Guam and this is by far the nicest. Amazing views on the back nine. Course maintenance was excellent...greens and fairways were in great shape. Service was also very good. I liked the fact that they seem to stagger tee times so that the course was not crowded. Didn't wait on a single hole. If you have the cash, this is the course to play in Guam. Much nicer than Leo Palace.

I do believe that this is one of the best courses on Guam. Local rates are $80 normally and on peak season they will not take locals unless you are willing to pay the tourist fee which is $280.
Course is well maintained and fast green. Bunker is soft and challenging. Onward also operate another golf course in Talafofo. Another beautiful course. I would not know which is better, because they both really nice.

Very nice and well maintained course. First 9 are just flat and not challenging. However back 9 are very nice. Especially 12 and 13. Not a place for beginners. Food Japanese. Everybody very polite and excellent service. However 200 USD per person on a weekday is not cheap.

Bring your big wallet as it is expensive. Everything is expensive to include refreshments. If the course was well maintained maybe it would be worth it , but it wasn’t. The tee boxes can use a good leveling, the greens have weed patches and or some kind of grass rot and trying to read the greens were very challenging to say the least especially with you ball jumping the weed patches.
There are some beautiful scenic views of the ocean and worth seeing, but I would not pay to play there again.

The views were amazing on the back 9 and from the clubhouse. Food was great too. The course does not drain well and all and was an absolute mud pit and they were even having trouble mowing. Fairways were mud the rough was high so forget about finding your ball. The layout was great hole 13 amazing but not worth the money if it's wet.

I felt ripped off after my game here. Mostly because the cost for a single: 240 dollars. It's not worth that much considering you can play 'top 100 in the world' courses for much less. But, this is a course owned by a Japanese company that is focussed on Japanese tour groups, so that is a factor.
Also, don't be fooled by the claims on the Mangilao courses' website:
"Ranking among the World's 100 Greatest Golf Courses! Mangilao Golf Club!" IT'S NOT. It's a loooong way from being top 100 in the world standard. I've played about 20 of them and golfed in over 50 countries.
The good points:
- Ice box with drinks included already on the cart at the start of the game. A very good thing with the heat in Guam. Carts have GPS onboard.
- The 180 degree view from the clubhouse looking across part of the course and out to the ocean.
- The back nine: a number of holes running through jungle or along the coastline.
- The signature hole par 3 12th. As the course was pretty quiet I spent a bit of time just watching the ocean and hitting all the balls I had in my bag across to the green.
- Friendly service.
The bad points:
- Cost v quality of the course. If you have green fees as high as Mangilao does, you have to have a course that backs up what you're charging - it doesn't.
- Pitch marks in the greens and other grasses growing through in patches to disturb the putting surfaces.
- Unraked bunkers
- The front nine is just a standard resort course layout, much like probably 10,000 other courses around the world.
- Restaurant closed mid-afternoon so no chance for after-round drinks or eats.
I wouldn't go back, as while the 12th is a spectacular hole, there's not enough in the design, or conditioning of the course, to justify the green fee.

This is one of he best courses on guam. It's normally toss up between mangilao, Talafofo and leo palace. I put it in the price order mangilao being most expensive.
This course is most snobby, clean and expensive course.
Restaurant there is kinda pricy as well but it might be worth it for what's available on guam. I recommend this course if you're traveling to guam and want to experience guam golf

Mangilao is a fun course to play with really scenic backdrops. If your'e an avid golfer and you're visiting Guam, I'd say this course is a must. A lot of people gripe about the price tag, but it's an experience. One thing I particularly like about the course is that it plays pretty fast. You don't really have to wait for groups packed in to tight tee times.
