We have passed by this large statue a number of times over the years and finally convinced a driver to park up so that we could view and take a few photos. Very busy intersection but our driver herded us safely across the road. The statue had been newly attired in preparation for the Hindu festival of Galungan. It stands over two metres in height, weather beaten, but located at a point considered sacred by the locals since 1989. It is named Sang Hyang Brahma Lelare, a representative of the Hindu god, Shiva, and represents new beginnings.

This Giant Baby Statue is a symbol of Sang Hyang Siwa Budha,it is not only a place of worship, it is also a place where couples would pray for them to be granted a child. It located at the sakah intersection, invisited here last year, when i had a day trip from sanur to ubud,on the way,i asked my driver to stop here for a while, cuz i want to take photos with the statue.it is not easy to do so,be careful, cuz you are on the road.

This large statue is located on a traffic island surrounded by large trees, untrimmed vegetation and rubbish strewn ground. The white and yellow cloths that gird the figure look recent yet the statue itself looks uncared for. There are a number of small altars with offerings in front of the sculpture. Patung Bayi Raksasa is regarded by the Balinese as both haunted and holy. On the road from Kuta to Ubud, but can be easily missed in the vegetation.

Not the easiest statue to visit. It sits in the middle of intersections of Bali traffic but my driver made sure I got the picture of the baby. Helps to remember where you are also as on our journey we passed it time and again and then I knew I was close to my apartment

Roads a congested and its in the middle of a very busy intersection and there is not much room to walk around and see it...lots of rubbish and looked neglected....local government could send their clean up crew to pick up the rubbish and do some gardening to make the place a centre piece for the village which would attract tourist to the area

Loke most of Bali's statutes, it's in the middle of the road as you head to Ubud from Sanur. It's a great landmark and fun. It's always decorated with a different clothand has lots of offerings around it. I can only guess at it's significance but it's great to see

Now as the Pule trees grow big, the giant baby statue is under her shadow and it can not be seen clearly as before from the road. It is an important landmark for locals who consider the statue as the symbol for guardian spirit. On holidays piles of offerings flank the statue and religious ceremonies are frequently held here.

We drove passed the statue travelling from Ubud to Lebih Beach as it located at the intersection of three between Jl. Sakah Raya and Jl. Raya Mas. This giant baby statue is a statue of Brahman Lelare infant symbolizing the creation of human life. There are many young couples coming here to plead child.
