Beautiful scenery. Main hall is very spacious, and unusually big for a temple. Quietly admiring the stone wall about Buddha around with bird singing in the background. A great place to mediate or listen to inner self.

I live in Uong bi at the moment and visit Ba Vang temple weekly, they serve free vegetarian food at 11:30 and at 17:30.

Besides the great food, it is a truly beautiful holy site with ancient t bonsai trees like I've never seen before. Many of the walls of the temple are painted with Intricate murals of the rules of Karma and the stories of the Buddha.

If travelling through Uong Bi on your way to Ha Long Bay, Ba Vang is definitely worth a visit.

Stunning pagoda over a large area. A lot of stairs and levels, and each level is more and more beautiful. And night time watching the lights come on in Uong Bi is awesome, and the pagoda will light up too!

High above Uong Bi, on the way between Halong Bay & Hanoi, sits this huge temple. A huge complex across multiple levels, we were fortunate to visit on a relatively quiet day, and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Well worth the time.

NOTE TO TRIP ADVISOR: I have a lot of photos, but unable to post since this is the first review for this site...would like to add them once it's approved. Thanks

Visiting this pagoda was one of the best things we did on our trip to Vietnam. It breathes peace and is very well maintained, apart from the architecture it is incredible. It has incalculable architectural and spiritual value.
