- Linda S2 contributionsFantastic Brewery Tour and TastingGreat excursion from cruise ship. Short bus ride there with some basic information about the island. Owner, Brewer meet us there and explained each of the 12 beers/ciders/beverages they had on tap that day. You could choose a tasting of 4 or 8 of your choice. ALL that we chose were exceptional. They also had a seltzer that was wonderful, kombucha, and a non alcoholic seltzer. We were offer a plate of three sausages and a few pretzel bites. After ample time to enjoy the beer and food, we were given a tour of the brewery with the owner. It was one of the best brewery tours we have been on and we have been on many in several countries. They are very conscience of the environment and have built a wonderful facility retaining the jungle around them. Staff was exceptional. Would definitely returnVisited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 November 2023
- Rachel E23 contributionsGreat beer - even better owners! We went to the brewery on a cruise excursion and loved every minute! Mark was a wonderful host and spent a ton of time chatting and answering all our questions. Beers were really good and the property was so nice. Go visit these guys - you will not regret it!Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 November 2023
- Travelsome33919Fort Myers, Florida19 contributionsHe Built a Brewery in the JungleWe had an amazing tour from NCL to Roatán Island Brewing Company. The bus ride took us through hills and the countryside. We stopped in a jungle clearing and upon walking down the pathway we came to an amazing industry. Here we sampled 5 beers (or soft drinks or hard seltzers) that were on tap that day. There were individual servings of pretzel bread and sausages to clear the pallet that complemented the beverages. After enjoying the brews we had a tour of the brewery. Mark, the owner and operator exp, aired how they chose the location and are in the process of perfecting a totally sustainable operation. They grow some of the grains and import others. The used grains are given to a farmer for livestock feed. They distribute only on the island and maintain their own equipment. It’s quite an experience and we would recommend this tour to everyone.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 December 2023

Environmentally conscious, excellent beers and selection, great food, wonderful staff and resident cat Ballsy. 10/10 would go back anytime I visit Roatan. - james l45 contributionsSurprise brewery in the jungle!Ten of us hired a private driver to give us a tour of Roatan. One of the places he suggested we stop at was the Roatan Brewery. What a surprise! Turning onto a dirt road (not too far down) we pulled up to this fabulous brewery! The beers were really good, and in talking with the staff, we soon realized that they were very knowledgeable about the different types of beer and the brewing of them. A "Must" stop when visiting Roatan.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 1 March 2024
- Joel W3 contributionsMust do. Highlight of the vacation :)Ilias and Cass have created such a beautiful spot. Beers are great, environment is amazing. We got a flight of eight beers then played some corn hole on the lawn. Staff is so kind and attentive. - Becky.imoSaint Louis, Missouri305 contributionsCool Stop for Food and DrinksWe stopped for lunch at Roatan Island Brewing Company and it did not disappoint! The grounds are stunning. Large palm trees, hammocks, plenty of shade and space. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us easily. The food and beer was fantastic. I loved their seltzer! The service was some of the best we received on the island. What’s great is the adults can hang out and there are plenty of activities for kids to keep them entertained. Bags, foosball, games, etc. We will definitely return.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 June 2024

- Rachelle CTamuning, Mariana Islands78 contributionsWe didn't try the beer, but the burgers were solid. We spent 10 days on Roatan and came here late one afternoon. Our VRBO was nearby. It is a fun place - games to play and good food. It closes quite early - 5:00 - I don't know if that is because it seems like a lot of their customers come from cruise ships and need to leave early, I don't know. We didn't try the beer, but the burgers were solid. Free, easy parking.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 September 2024

We had a short stop at this brewery at the recommendation of our tour guide. The facility is so interesting - great building, cool grounds, even the bathrooms are cool, being that they are built from shipping containers and the sinks are cut kegs. Even the tables and chairs are cool. So much fun to just explore.
We got a short intro to the beers and the 4 non-alcoholic offerings (root beer, soursop soda, and kombucha selections) and were offered tastes, or flights of 4 or 8, or small or large glasses.
Our reviews of the beverages are mixed. The beer drinkers among us felt the beer was just ok. The non-beer drinkers loved the soursop soda and the root beer. May have been the most authentic root beer flavor I've experienced. We did not try the kombucha.
We didn't try the food and only tried two of the beers, to be fair. Had we had more time, and a flight of eight, we may have found the one(s) we liked.
Prices were fair and the atmosphere was wonderful. Very welcoming place with a hip vibe. We would go back, and we do recommend giving them a try.
I especially like the name of their (free) wifi. Look it up when you get there!

Spent a week on the island and got a chance to visit Roatan Island Brewery one Saturday afternoon - it is not to be missed if you are a craft beer drinker. It is located in Palmetto Bay, has 9 beers on tap and has a great vibe w/cool music playing and a young staff eager to deliver great service. You can get a flight of 6 or 9 beers and the day I was there they had a taco de birria lunch special that I supplemented with an order of yucca garlic fries – the tacos and fries were the bomb! I never had taco de birria before and must say I’ve been missing out. This was a great find and for sure not to be missed if on the island.

I loved this place so much! Went as part of a cruise excursion and wasn’t sure about drinking beer at 10 am, but was such a pleasant surprise. I loved the venue, the people, the food, and of course the beer. We spent almost 3 hours at Roatan Brewery- met the owner and had a very interesting tour of the facility. About noon the residents started joining, bringing their pups and playing cornhole. This place. Is about making an experience more than making a dollar, was such a refreshing take. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back!

Traveling while on a vegan/vegetarian diet can be tricky sometimes, but I was so pleased to find that the brewery has plenty of options for me. They even have kombucha and other non alcoholic options for those who are like me in your group! The atmosphere is very chill and they have hammocks and games to play, and the staff is awesome and easygoing. As a group of divemaster candidates we are definitely on a budget, and the prices were very reasonable, and we will definitely keep coming back!

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of this terrific spot the day I left Roatan. I wish I knew about it earlier because I probably would have gone every day.
The brews are excellent. You can really tell that they are made with a great deal of care and precision. I particularly liked the Crisp ESB. They have all sorts of outdoor and bar type games - it's the kind of place you can spend a lot of time in.
Really fun and friendly staff. This place is a must-visit when you go to Roatan!

Definitely a Sunday Funday. Every time we visit Roatan, a stop at the brewery is a must. Great selection of beers, but have non-alcoholic options too. Food is terrific and fun to just hang out and enjoy the beautiful environment. The bartenders are all super friendly and efficient. We happened to go when a cruise ship was in town too so it was really busy. The bartenders never lost a step or their friendly demeanor. Joanie was great at keeping the beers flowing. Matt was the best server around! He kept up with your orders, troubleshooted when necessary, and went over and beyond to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Couldn't ask for better customer service. Can't wait until we are back in June.

We are craft beer lovers, so visiting the the Roatan Brewing Company was a no brainer. We went on a market day, so it was even more interesting. The place was packed as they bring bus loads of people in. Highly recommend this trip, it seemed kind of out of the way but it is a good way to see parts of the island that you might not otherwise.

Is it easy to get a taxi from the brewery to the Mahogany Bay cruise port?
Written 5 March 2024
I am not sure. We hired a private driver for the day and requested this as a stop. Sorry, I could not be more helpful.

Does the shuttle still operate from west end or west bay?

Is your brew available anywhere in the US? Love to try some before we get there! You should send us some!!
Written 10 December 2021
Yup! We take all major credit cards... Except dinners club, but who has dinners clubs anymore anyways?
Written 11 August 2021
Does anyone have info/advice about getting a taxi to the brewery from the cruise port?
Rates?
Do they take US dollars?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Written 3 January 2020
Hey superpinky, taxis from the cruise ports are supposed to have published rates near taxi pickup areas. I expect $10-15 per person depending on which port you are coming from. And yes the brewery accepts US dollars, and credit cards.
