Nikortsminda Cathedral in Georgia is like a smart blend of nature, fresh air, and history. Nestled in a peaceful landscape, it's a mix of Georgian and Byzantine styles, showing off the country's cultural richness. The clean air around the cathedral creates a calm vibe, making it a great place for thinking and reflecting. Inside, colorful paintings tell stories from history. So, Nikortsminda Cathedral isn't just a beautiful spot; it's a smart journey into Georgia's past and artistic traditions.

Nikortsminda is a masterpiece of middle ages Georgian architecture. It is in the testing list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Covered by mountains and forests, amazing place to visit. Nearby there is lake Shaori as well and city of Ambrolauri where you can stay in hotel for night to continue your journey in the forests and mountains of Georgia on second day.

The 11 century cathedral is in good condition with impressive frescoes inside. It was nice to visit a historical site, located in a quiet place.

Nikortsminda church was built in the early 11 century and is located 16 k away from ambrolauri.taxis should cost 20 to 25 lari.
Besides beautiful frescoes inside, the church boasts unusual murals outside which make it unique but exactly this part of her is now covered with scaffoldings.
The visit can be combined with a nearby attraction, the ice cave, 4 k away.
No entrance fees are collected.
