About
A venue for inspiration, wellness and gatherings. A much needed group of services all under one roof for the fast expanding town of Siem Reap. Our philosophy is that wellness is a basic human right, not a privilege to only those who can afford it. This is why we have set up Tavoos as a non-profit social venture. Each time a guest attends any of our classes, we donate one to a Cambodian woman or child so that they can experience wellness classes as well. We also donate 100% of the profits from our retreats towards digging water wells for families around Siem Reap. What we offer is unique. Not just a restaurant, not just a Yoga center, not just a venue for private events. We promote a healthy and inspirational lifestyle in a zen and luxurious environment. Tavoos has several divisions, each specializing in different aspects of health, wellness, art and events needs.

I just completed my 200hrs TTC with Tavoos and would like to extend a big THANK YOU for three wonderful, intense and rewarding weeks! Very experienced and approachable yoga teachers who taught us so much about yoga- ourselves- life... and who inspired confidence throughout the training.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great accommodation, and amazing vegan food.
Also, knowing that a TTC with Tavoos means giving back to the local community is definitely an asset.
Can only recommend and hope to be back for a follow-up soon!

I really loved my 4D3N retreat at Tavoos. I’m totally zen and full of energy again. Yoga, meditation, massages, l’bokator, painting and cooking class were really nice. It is a perfect mix of relaxation, movement, cultural experience and self-cultivation. The people are helping you out with everything and are super kind. You explore the Cambodian culture in an authentic way

I can’t recommend this place enough. I spent 3.5 weeks here for my 200hr yoga teacher training, the accommodation was great, it was a real treat to have our own private rooms as I know not many trainings offer that. The food was so tasty (I am still dreaming of those pancakes for breakfast), the staff went above and beyond for all our requests. It is also really nice to know that their profits go towards building wells in villages in Cambodia, we even had the privilege of visiting two of those wells during our training. Very special mention to Yogi Madhav our great teacher who gave us so much knowledge and tools to carry on in our journey. His teaching methodology was incredible, we were pretty much teaching from day 1, which built up our confidence and by the time the practical exam came around we were all prepared and ready. I really enjoyed the lectures on philosophy and history of yoga as that is something I have always been really interested in, and Madhav was so knowledgeable about every topic. I highly recommend visiting for a yoga retreat or teacher training course, you won’t regret it.

When applying for November TTC I never imagined this place will be so nice. Not just a place, the food, people, environment, service,... Everything was amazing. It felt like a family. They take care of you and make sure you are having a great time and feel welcomed. Their teachers are one of the best ones and their knowledge is just over the moon. I came just to improve my practice but left with the enthusiasm to teach others yoga. You just want to learn more, practice more, do more.
It completely changes you for the better.
I cannot recommend this TTC enough!!
And the best of all, you can actually see where the money goes (wells). This was such an emotional experience when we went to see built wells and all those happy village people with new freshwater. Priceless!!
Thank you again for everything! I am definitely coming back for 300h TTC **

We did the 5-day yoga retreat at tavoos and stayed at the green leaf hotel. We very much enjoyed the morning yoga classes with... and in the evenings with Vicky. Both were very professional and inspiring.
The hotelroom was comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom modest but clean. Our daily massages (included in the retreat) were kind of “getting used to”😉, however the meals and detox juices, the morringa tea and not to forget the local coffee(!) were a real treat!!
Lin and the rest of the young staff were absolutely fabulous and tried to do everything to make our stay more than perfect.
They arranged an “ankor wat”tour and our boat trip to Battambang which were both right to our taste.(but we believe that can be personal!)
We love the “non-profit” attitude and the fact they try to make a better future for their community by sharing profits by building wells after each retreat.
In turn, we would like to share this experience by writing this review and inspire people to go to the green leaf hotel and treat yourself with one of the tavoos retreats!

I initially joined the July TTC at Tavoos as a challenge to myself to practice at the limits of my capabilities as someone relatively new to yoga, and also, simply as a way to learn more about yoga. I feel that during this program that both intentions were made beautifully real.
I stayed at the hotel, just next door to the cafe and the shala, and found the room to be comfortable enough. There was air-conditioning and a mosquito net, and in July both were welcome amenities. Some of the students would chill in the pool after morning classes. Most important, however, the hotel was where everyone would gather for meals, and it was nice to catch some air-conditioned breaktime before eating and in between classes.
The food was extremely good, many of our items seeming to come straight from the menu of Tavoos Cafe. The meals varied every day, and a fruit salad was served with every meal. As someone who eats a plant-based diet anyway, the food here was as if conceived of in heaven's kitchens, For those who do eat animal products, I can't think of a better way to be introduced to a plant-based diet.
The staff were attentive and kind, though I felt I didn't interact with them directly very often.
As far as I could tell, the course was designed to give students the necessary skills and knowledge to teach the Hatha open class sequence (found in Sivananda yoga) competently and safely and with a theoretical understanding of the asanas involved both from philosophical and physiological perspective. We practiced asanas in the mornings and evenings. The evening practice consisted of the very sequence we were learning to teach, helping us to deepen our own personal relationships with the asanas, which was especially helpful to me as a beginner. Teaching methodology, philosophy, and anatomy and physiology classes were held in the mornings and afternoons. The schedule felt full without being too intense.
Our teacher, Madhav, was a master of his craft, of teaching, and of the asanas themselves. He seemed to be a practicioner not only of yoga as asanas, but of yoga as his life, lending a strong ethos to his teaching and energy. His instruction was always clear and he always encouraged us to ask questions. By the end of the twenty days, while it felt natural to be able to lead a class, I only had to think back to day one to know how far Madhav had led us.
My fellow students were all kind and beautiful souls, providing wonderful company both on and off the mat. I was happy that they were a part of my journey, and if given the choice would pick the same group over and over again.
The course was for me an experience of great growth, and would recommend it to anyone, even beginners, looking to deepen their practice or get a start in teaching.

Much credit to Mr Lin and his team for making the 200 hour yoga experience exceed my expectations. The extra added care and attention brought to each individual meant we really felt connected and looked after. We formed friendships with the staff and Mr Lin. We were lucky enough to experience some of the great work they are doing in Cambodia like building the wells in small, poor, rural villages. The teachers, Madhav and Tammy were more knowledgable, helpful and friendly than I could have hoped for also. They pushed us beyond our goals and guided us throughout our time here. Cambodia for me is one of the kindest, happiest
places I’ve visited in Asia and I will be back. Namaste 🙏

Having the opportunity to be on 200 hours yoga teacher training course was a great one. It is not only to gain knowledge but also to understand myself better. Our teacher, Madhav is kind and knowledgable, authentic and devoted to the practice. The other teacher, Tammy also shared us a lot on yoga practices. I did got a quality information and knowledge on the physical aspects of yoga, sequences, correct alignments, efficient teaching methods and tools. There were 3 meals included everyday in the training. Food are super delicious!!! The co-founder of the yoga school, Mr. Lin took care of us so well during the training. He is caring and helpful:) and his staff as well, they are lovely and kind. We got ice tea and fresh detox drinks before classes for refreshing. and they arranged a birthday cake on my birthday! They are so sweet!!!!!
I would say it is the BEST yoga school in Cambodia.
Last but not least, I would like to thank for Madhav, Tammy, Mr. Lin and his team again. And also, all my yoga buddies. I LOVE YOU all ❤️thank you❤️
