One of the many Shakthi Peetam across India.

A simple ancient temple near Parli ( 20Km)

The Devi is beautifully decorated and inspiring.

Calm and serene atmosphere.

Dear travelers and viewers,
Please visit the mandir with sole dedication and "samparpan" to Devi Yogeshwari at Ambejogai. It also known as "KulDevi" of many Brahmin families. I am sure you will like the mandir which is small but kept clean and tidy.

Jay Yogeshwari!

Mata Yogeshwari is supposed to be a family goddess of the caste of Chittapawan Bramhins (or Koknastha Bramhins) in Maharashtra, India. Invitation cards of every Koknastha Bramhins carry an appeal for her blessings. Apart from these bramhins, the other castes & creeds also hold the Goddess in high esteem & as such every Tuesday & Friday throng to take her Darshan (visit & worship).

I visited the temple very recently & had privilege to know the trustees & they took me around the temple to show some peculiarities in the temple. One worth mention is God Ganapati in woman incarnation. The God Ganapati is shown in woman form & the same is enshrined in the temple's pinnacle. It can be easily seen from entrance.

The Goddess has lovely eyes, which one cannot forget. We had a very peaceful Darshana & it was not crowded on that particular day.
Later we went to a nearby Bhaktaniwas, at a walking distance, where we had very delicious lunch of puranpoli, a special dish, a peculiarity of Maharashtra.

Overall it was a very memorable event. Regards

The temple is lovely. It seems to be within main city. The Moorti is simple memerizing. It appears Mata is speaking to you. Sat at the temple for few minutes to soak in the tranquility. Experience can't be explained it can only be experienced.

The temple is quite well maintained. There is not much rush. The structure of the temple is maintained by retaining the old structure as far as possible

Yogeshwari is the Kuldaivat for many Marathi people especially from Konkan region. This temple is quite spacious well built with a Mandap. There are two entrance gates. The temple is a stone structure with stone idols of various gods at the top. There are shops at the main entrance for purchase of flowers and other items. Other than Fridays it attracts less crowd so that you can have a nice darshan. A few decades before there was not proper accommodation available for stay. But now temple has a Yatri Niwas one outside main gate and another built inside the temple itself. One more Bhakti Niwas has also been built outside the rear gate where almost all your needs are met. It is also not so difficult to travel to Ambajogai now. One can travel to Parli Vaijnath by train from where by bus it is 22 Km. Frequent buses.

Shri Yogeshwari Devi temple in situated in Ambajogai, Maharashtra which is hardly 25 kms by road from famous parli vaidyanath temple. Very very beautiful place to visit. The temple is small but unique. Very peacful, neat and clean temple. If one is at Parli vaidyanath, one must have look to Ambajogai.
