Well worth a visit. Beautiful temple set high on the mountain side.
Quite a steep incline and 156 steps to reach the top. Super views from the top.

Many flowers on the way up there and beautiful view from the top. Very touristy, so you should BE AWARE OF PICKPOCKETS!

Spent the day around Terelj NP and visited the temple. The walk was worth the views at the top, some great picture opportunities.

This was a beautiful place to visit in Terelj. I was there during winter and it was peaceful and quiet and I enjoyed the short trek up to the temple. The Temple and stairs up to them are steep. Its definitely a must visit if you are in Terelj National Park.

A peaceful hike across the hills from our ger camp led us to the Ariyabal Meditation Temple located on a steep hill. Once you cross the bridge of heaven and climb the 108 stairs you arrive at the main temple surrounded by 108 stupas and 108 prayer wheels.

This temple is situated in the Gorkhi-Terelj park.
If you come quite early, before the main bulk of tourists, you will be able to enjoy the calm of this place and spend a good moment discovering the bouddhist religion. Worth to visit.

We thought this was just so beautiful

It was built after the end of the Soviet rule, as most Monasteries were destroyed in Mongolia under the direction of Stalin.

It is a steep climb up, the views are beautiful from the top and so is the Temple on the inside.

Very worthwhile on a beautiful winters day

Must see this place, take time to step up the hill till the monastery in the top, by chance spend time with a holy Thibetan Lama, in person, and discuss about... Unforgettable moment in Mongolia.

This is a scenic hike to get up the hill to the temple at the top. However, you'll feel the benefit of it as the serenity inside and views outside are worth the effort.
