The collection of plants in the garden is just marvelous. It is very very informative and one can get to see huge variety of flora. Needs a little maintenance.

Good place to visit to get some fresh air that is rare in the city. Plus the botanical tree that holds a Guinness world record. The place is famous for morning walkers and good for picnics.

The Botanic Garden is technically not located in Kolkata but across the river Hooghly in Howrah city and more specifically in Shibpur. It is in the neighbourhood of the famous Engineering College in Shibpur. I shall not repeat information one could get from Wikipedia pages....More

It is better to start exploring the garden in the early hours. Garden opens at 5 am and closes at 5 pm. This is what I have written in my review on 07/01/2017.
