Visited here yesterday and arrived a little late. I was truly amazed by the helpfulness of the shop lady to organise an extra tour just for me. So, at the outset a big thank you. I’m very much into history so this was extremely interesting...More

If you are "into" British Colonial occupation of Australia then you may enjoy this attraction. To the rest of us, it is just another old house filled will old stuff. The surrounding gardens, however, are real nice.

This is an excellent place to bring a group of friends or a club group as it has something for everybody. It is our history which has been preserved and we should be encouraging all to follow the history trail to learn about Australia's past.

Easy walk from ferry , train or bus as well as closer when you catch free bus. There are periodic exhibitions which I have seen several of. Always great. Beautiful "old " (for Australia) building . Gives you an insight into our early wealthy settlers.

Unfortunately we had time restraints and our tour of Old Government House was a bit rushed but we enjoyed it all the same. The High Tea with a great quantity and variety of tasty food was a highlight of our few days spent in Parramatta.
