About
Surrounded by 14th-century walls, the pedestrianized Alcudia Old Town is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. Here, you can visit the Church of St. Jaume, stroll down the main street of Carrer Major, snap a picture with the Xara Gate, and enjoy splendid views as walk along the medieval walls. Plan your visit on market days, where you’ll find fresh produce, souvenirs, shoes, bags, and more. Beautiful Mallorca
Loved it! - We stayed in Platja de Alcudia. Lovely beach, nice shops & plenty of pubs & restaurants. Short bus ride to historic Old town or Pollenca for a nice day out. Approx 45 mins bus ride to Palma & beautiful cathedral.

    A hidden gem in Alcudia.
The Old Town is very quiet on a Sunday morning before the market but gets really busy so pick your times. Plenty of artisanal stores and quaint cafes to eat and drink in during the day and evening. For me the real experience is when its later and dark as the whole Town transforms into a Mediaeval set. The lighting and mood seems to lift from a day time visit. Walk the external walls and soak up all the historical experiences.

    Worth visiting
Visited a few times on my stay in Mallorca. I was staying in cam picafort but visited Alcudia the first time for the market and did not expect the old Town to be so nice. We ended up getting a hotel and staying the night in the middle of the old town . Il definitely visit again when I’m back in Mallorca. And I’d recommend anyone to visit.

Easy going walk around for some pretty sights and calmness
Lovely place to get away and walk around the walls and narrow streets. We took our stroller and found it easy to get around, the alleyways are well paved. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants to investigate and nice to walk beside the walls and take in some scenic sights. Easiest point to start from was beside the bus stop.

    Beautiful town
Beautiful old town with well preserved city walls that you can walk around. Lots of stunning little windy streets with hidden cafes, shops, bars, restaurants. The Alcudia Market is on Sunday and Tuesday 8am to 1pm.

    Pretty little town
A beautiful old town with a more local and less tourist like feel. We stayed within the walls and it feels safe and chilled, with loads of great places to dine out. Worth a climb up and around the walls and the church (Sant Jaume d’Alcudia) is a fine architectural example. It’s not as immense or beautiful as other old towns as for example Dubrovnik, but it compensates by being no where near as crowded. Definitely worth visiting when on the island.

    Worth a visit
Definitely worth a visit when you find yourself in Alcudia, Mallorca. Cozy streets with small stores (mostly arts and crafts/clothing) and restaurants. Also an interesting historical sight, where you can take a walk on the old city wall. The Old Town is roughly 30 minutes by foot from Alcudia city center. If this is too much, there are plenty of cabs (or horse carriages) that wil get you there swiftly. This was obviously a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, so if you want to spend an evening "feeling the buzz" this should be a good choice.

    A touch of culture!
A beautiful part of the city that provides a touch of culture and a break from the beach resort which is a short journey away on the bus. The high walls mean there's plenty of shade to protect you from the sun, there are lots of lovely looking cafes and restaurants, and quirky shops as well as some that sell your typical souvenirs. I loved looking at all the jewellery! The Old Town reminded me of Mdina in Malta but with it's own Mallorcan flair. I would definitely recommend for couples, not sure if there's much for children to enjoy here. We spent about an hour exploring and enjoyed ourselves.

    Beautiful old city
The kids loved the market. Only thing we didn't like was the "hovering" once you started looking at things. This didn't happen everywhere, but being "classic" scandinavians we like to look at things without feeling watched or being "nagged" about buying things. But all in all a good experience.

We visited this place on Sunday (Market day) it was super busy, you could not take the views of the old town in, which left us feeling disappointed.

Very nice town. Old Roman capital of the island tons of good shops and bars. Easy enough to park a bit outside and then just ramble around for a few hours. Refreshingly tourist light as well - I'd recommend the place when you get sick and tired of the many over visited spots on the Island.

Loved it here! We enjoyed the market, the old parts of town and the characteristic streets. Had some tapas at one of the restaurants, don’t remember which one but loved the atmosphere as well.

Some great restaurants in the old town and some interesting artisan shops - though there are many similar shops on each strip, so it does get a little repetitive after a while.

We went on market day and it really wasn’t all that special. A few nice stalls with something new to offer, but all in all quite generic.

We still loved our visit. Walking around the walls of the town was great, you get to see some stunning views, and then walking through the Roman Ruins on the edge of the town was also a highlight.

Some vegan options in the old town. Free Public toilets open (during market days only it seems). Bus stops near by at the tourist information centre.

beautiful old town within the walls and loads of character in the buildings. Places to shop, explore, eat and drink and a cute little park for the kids where we parked up. It was so much more attractive than the beach lining new strip of concrete hotels and tacky tourist shops on the way there.

Beautiful and an interesting place. Free walk up on the walls with excellent views. Lovely place to wonder around the streets. Many nice cafes, restaurants and shops. Sunday market worth a visit. Easy, cheap bus ride on local buses from/to Port d’Alcudia.

Alcudia Old Town is a great stop off to explore. We went on market day (Sunday) which gets busy, so early arrival is advised.
Lets of choice for eating, particularly down side streets you can find better value for money.
The streets have been well paved by the local authority for pedestrian use and the old buildings are all well maintained.
You can tell the residents of proud of their Old Town.

Surrounded by 14 th century walls, We visited Old Town of Alducia on Easter Sunday. There was plenty of free parking around the area, which we had researched beforehand. The old town with its Neo Gothic style , fresh architectural surprise, a square buzzing with cafes, bars + restaurants, shops and rows of sandstones houses with traditional green shutters on cobbled streets. There is an open market on Sundays and Tuesdays with local produce and souvenirs. The old town is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with variable things. You can visit the church St Jaume when you stroll down the Main Street . It is definitely worth a visit…
