    Relaxing experience
Had a back massage at Cheltenham Chase Spa from Natasha. Was wonderful! Staff were lovely and welcoming, even though it was a busy day they took the time to check in on me whilst I waited. Would definitely go back, probably for a longer treatment.

    Re-review
I would like to re-review following discussions with a very helpful manager regarding the pool facilities and children feeling free to participate. Full explanations were given regarding my issues. The room was lovely and very clean. The bar/ restaurant was excellent. We had a fantastic breakfast. The staff were extremely friendly and I really appreciated the time the manager took to address my concerns. Thank you 😊

    Elemis spa massage was amazing!!
The spa looked like it had some refurb done recently which made the jacuzzi area look prettier and more modern compared to the older blue tiles. Pool, sauna and steam room were all lovely and relaxing and not too busy which was lovely! I had a treatment in the Elemis treatment rooms upstairs and all the ladies were absolutely lovely and welcoming! My back and scalp massage was done perfectly by the lovely lady Drew! She massaged my back firmer than I have had before but she got all of my knots out in my back and I felt like I was on a cloud afterwards which was blissful!! Drew was so lovely and answered all my questions I had throughout the treatment and even gave me some advice on home remedies to try on my hair to soften and strengthen them as she noticed my hair was bleached. Overall lovely day and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing day with a friend, family member or partner x

AMAZING Body Massage and Facial with Natalie!!
Just came back from a lovely Spa day at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel. It's a beautiful Hotel and Spa and the all the staff are very friendly and attentive. I had a full body massage and facial with Natalie, she is a very experienced Therapist and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. She asked me what pressure I wanted, I said firm and she applied a very firm massage all the way through the massage then ended with a lovey relaxing facial. It was the most amazing and relaxing treatment from start to finish, I have massages and facials quite regularly but this was the best i've had in a long time, i will definitely be going back for another one!

    Amazing Massage Danny & Tash
We visited the Spa on Wed 1st Aug, I had a full body massage & Scrub with Danny, it was amazing my neck & shoulders was so tense, by the time she’d finished with I felt so relaxed. My friend had the same treatment with Natasha and she was equally as good. Both was very helpful and made myself and friends feel at home. The lady on Spa Reception was great & helped us choose some lovely products.

    Just OUTSTANDING!
This was a fantastic 3 night stay. We were welcomed so heartily and was given a superb room. Courtney who served us on reception was so kind, thoughtful and friendly. We compliment the housekeeping staff for their hard work, the hotel was sparkling! We thank Luke, Ian, Bernie and 'Mrs Robinson!' for their attentiveness in the restaurant and at breakfast. Our room was so comfortable and very quiet, we slept so well and felt rested. A massive thank you to you all and a very happy Christmas. We will return!

My stay was the WORST experience I have EVER had in a hotel.

Me and my partner stayed here on the 3rd February for her birthday present.

Upon arrival we were spoken to by a rude receptionist telling me to 'move' as she believed I was obstructing the hotel desk as I was waiting to check-in.

The Spa felt unclean and our room had a rogue heater on full blast in the middle of the room, taking away from the relaxing stay we were hoping to experience.

The largest issue faced was with our restaurant booking at 7:30pm.

Having a booking at a bar in Cheltenham for the late evening we were hoping for a nice meal, however we received the worst dining experience of both of our lives.

We asked for a drinks menu, but were told by the waitress Phillipa that she works on the bar so she can 'just tell us', this put us on edge and was not helpful at all. After receiving our drinks we ordered our starters + mains.

We waited over an hour for our starter to arrive, after several questions from us! I ordered the chicken/mushroom soup, which arrived barely warm and the butter melted to liquid (which makes me believe it had been sat out for a while). My partner ordered the halloumi which came severely undercooked and was almost inedible. During the waiting time for this the waitress shouted across the restaurant several times using inappropriate language which was extremely unprofessional saying the chef was new and thats why the service was poor- this was no excuse!

We then waited another 45 minutes for our main courses. In the mean time Phillipa shouted to the bar to request free drinks on 2-3 occasions, whilst continuing to complain about the kitchen staff. Our mains arrived, my partner ordered a burger which was severely burnt and was unable to eat it, she just ate her chips and the salad. I had a beef pie, this was damp/warm on the outside, but piping hot on the inside (we think it had been microwaved). We were not the only ones who had an issue with our food as the couple on the table next to us left their steaks/sides and walked out of the restaurant. To our HORROR, in an attempt to make up for the inadequate service, Phillipa took the sides from their table and placed them on ours and said 'courtesy of the couple who left on that table'. My partner, who has several allergies was immediately hit with major anxiety as we did not know what was in the sides, this was DANGEROUS and UNACCEPTABLE to do and is something totally surreal as I didn't think a restaurant would ever do this.

By this time it was already past 10pm (so we had missed our bar booking in Cheltenham which meant we lost out on a £40 deposit)… as Phillipa came over to settle the bill I asked to speak to the manager, we then spoke to a polite young gentlemen (I cannot remember a name), who said he was the supervisor, but not the manager, I then asked to speak to the hotel Duty Manager who was Courtney.

Courtney came and sat at our table who came and sat with us and was very apologetic, she tried to tell us that the hotel would cover part of our food bill (despite the fact we had a £32pp food allowance which none of us surpassed!), we explained this, with Courtney responding saying we had to pay for the drinks and service with a 20% discount, I asked for the bill to be provided and Courtney bought it out. The bill for drinks/service was £90- with 2 rounds of drinks on there (which we were promised were free on there, despite the fact they were never received!)- we agreed to pay £20 for the one round of drinks we had before the food. Courtney did try to help us, but the whole performance of the waiting staff was unprofessional, with shouting and bad language being used by them in front of customers.

Courtney told us to email to request a refund as she agreed that the service/experience had been terrible.

Overall, the whole experience at the Delta Chase hotel from checking-in to checking-out was terrible. The staff were extremely rude (bar Courtney) and it ruined the whole experience for my partners Birthday.

Myself & my husband had a spa day on 20th Jan, and I have to say what a disappointment.

We arrived at 10.30 and was shown around, at that point it looked promising.

The pool was lovely & warm until we got out to lounge for a while & then the chill set in. There are nowhere near enough loungers as myself & my husband had the only 2. We were chatting to others & they said the same, you can't relax on chairs. The loungers or chairs had no cushions which were very uncomfortable.

We were booked to have our lunch at 12, we arrived in the spa day area, but as we were in robes & flip-flops it was really cold. I went to reception and the lady had to get 2 plug in heaters to keep us warm, Needless to say we didn't stay. I think in winter you should be given the option of warm or cold lunch but the only choice was cold salad with meat or vegetarian.

Our treatment was booked 1pm and that was ok. We would have liked to spend the whole day but it was so cold we left at 14.30.

Lovely clean hotel,
Me and my partner booked a package deal,
Which we started off when we arrived went to the pool, steam room very small, sauna not in use no door. so we were not in the pool area for long.
I then booked on top of the package afternoon tea costing £50,
Absolutely awful, I would of been embarrassed giving this selection to someone, sandwiches all stale, cakes were shop bought mr kipling cakes only nice thing was the scones.
Treatments we had in the afternoon were great.
Service on an evening was terrible no-one in sight to seat us at first, then we had to ask a member of staff to take are food order, then wait over an hour for are food when it wasn't even busy,
People were complaining there food was cold and getting up and walking off.
The restaurant and bar seems like its only ran by children, looks like they have not been given the right training they need.
Breakfast was probably the best thing that was there,
Would not be returning to this hotel

Spa experience day, bought as a birthday treat for my sons.
Waste of money! Pool small but ok, steam room tiny, sauna closed, massage treatment short.

Would have been nice to be told in advance that sauna was not functioning.

Would not recommend

Would not recommend for any type of xmas party/function. Rude staff including managers. Food very poor unless you like a kids meal. Just overall really disappointing! Should just really focus on being a hotel and improving service in that area.

We attended for a Christmas party on 18th December. I would never visit here again. Waiting 2 hours for our starter. Eating our main at 10pm, a main that was the size of a starter. No sorry or explanation from any staff member. Staff members swearing at guests. Witnessed bullying behind the bar when a staff member asked her colleagues for help. All of this raised with the night manager. To top it off I ordered a cocktail, I don't mind paying 11 pound for a cocktail but when it is pre made out of a bottle like you can get in a supermarket it is not worth 11 pounds. If it was made correctly, it was absolutely worth 11 pounds. Didn't appear to be anyone first aid trained when a guest collapsed in the reception area either.
If we were told there was going to be a wait, that would have been fine but completely unprofessional and not worth the wait.
