Very very entertaining to watch the cheese rolling every year. Great to see people flock from far and wide to watch.

As a local I’m often at the top of this hill having slogged up it with my dogs for a view of Brockworth, Gloucester and beyond. The woods leading up to and surrounding the hill are beautiful and so as long as you are fit enough to make your way up, I highly recommend it on a good day for amazing views!

We visited Cooper's HIll to see the Annual Cheese Rolling event this May Bank Holiday and it was certainly surreal!
After a fairly steep climb to the lower viewing area of the event, we waited in anticipation to see what this quirky event was all about! Literally thousands of people had turned up to watch people roll down a hill after a Gloucester Cheese. The first event - The Men's race kicked or "rolled" off without any casualties, taking an epic 22 seconds to complete. Watching people hurtle down an extremely steep hill to follow a big round cheese was certainly different. The Ladies race unfortunately took some casulaties and one poor lady had to be stretchered off and put into a waiting ambulance. Her dreams of a year's worth of fondue lost for another year.
You need to see it at least once in your life as it is utterly Bonkers, but a great English tradition to keep our air of eccentricity alive.

If you like something a little different then Cheese Rolling is for you. It’s a 3/4 mile walk up a steep incline to Coopers Hill and then trying to find somewhere to stand where you will be comfortable on this steep hill makes this spectacle uncomfortable at times but it’s well worth all the effort. Why anyone would want to tumble and gamboll down the hill is anyone’s guess but they make two hours of ooo and arrr spectator sport something you will never forget.

Went to see the annual cheese rolling on May bank holiday. The parking is quite a walk from the hill, and the walk is quite steep in places. One we had arrived at the bottom of Cooper's Hill, the crowds were quite large, but we manage to find a good spot to watch the cheese rolling.

Had a 10 mike walk in these beautiful surroundings.

Well marked out routes and amazing views.

The highlight- 4 deer crossing our path only 10 metres ahead of us. So much wildlife, simply stunning!

This walk is really steep and not for the faint hearted! The fields were swampy with mud so wellies are A must! We were out of breath by the time we reached the woods and didn’t get all the way to the top but definitely recommend/ stunning views-360!

Lovely walks around the hill, part of the Cotswolds way goes over it, view the very steep part where cheese rolling happens once a year
