Such a beautiful and old temple to visit, soo peaceful and calm. The pillars used in the oldest construction are still available to see and have a feel of the olden days

Men have to remove their shirt and women have to wear a shawl/dupatta before entering the shrine. A very peaceful place. The road to Thirunelli is known for Elephant crossing so beware.

There is a ktdc tourist lodge too in a very nice location, but not within walking distance of the temple. If you are travelling by public transport, the best way is to stay in guesthouses outside temple.
