The road leading is very nice surrounded by coffee or tea plantation , but we were not lucky to enter due to some court orders tat time but nevertheless it's very beautiful waterfall and u can enjoy it as they are letting people go now.

It is a beautiful waterfall. I visited here during my college days. I wanted to visit this time and got deeply disappointed to know that it is closed for quite some time now. The locals says that it will be closed permanently for eco friendly reasons. I am convinced with that because this is the only way to save Mother Nature.
We are seeing more slogans and banners requesting not to pollute the nature but are we listening?. We are polluting with plastic bottles and other non decomposing wastes. We deserve this.
I request readers to not litter anywhere to save the nature for our future generation.
Good news is you have another waterfalls nearby where you can take a bath at the top. It is called kanthanpara waterfall.

Soochippara waterfalls is towards road opp to Meppadi Police station, Wayanad. Unfortunately when we visited in 1st week of November-2019, it was closed for tourists due to landslide. This is our 2nd waterfalls visit which was closed due to landslide after meenmutty.
After parking one has to walk appro.1.5 kms to reach the waterfalls. Can't comment about difficulty level of the walk as it was closed.

the Waterfalls is small, but the water is so pleasant and chill. you can spend time there watching the flow of water. just note all the tourism place in wayanad will be closed by every monday for maintenance so plan according to it. mostly water fall would be closed while heavy rain.

Yes.
Tie her tightly with your own body and go upto the last rugged stone steps. Keep her with your hubby there and go down to the flat area to visit the falls, The same can be repeated by your husband. Don't be over cautious.

It is safe . The crowd may be less but there are some forest guards or cleaning women at the entrance, middle portion and near to the falls. One can approach them if any help is required.

We were only two girls and we visited the waterfalls on a Thursday. We found it pretty safe. There are women forest guards stationed every 500 meters or so. Even at the waterfalls, there are women guards. You can always take their help should you have any problem. Personally, we felt quite safe.
Is the falls closed during march .i am planning to go next week.is it worth going to wayanad this time of the year
