Me and my daughter (12years) found the hike really tiring but awesome. We captured some stunning views .You need a guide which we will be provided at the ticket counter and he carried my bag like a true gentleman.Once you reach on top the heart shaped lake is there but a bit overrated. The guide took us on the other side for... Very steep mud rocky road till the peak, where our cars can't roll up. From ground its a 2.5 km ride where local guides will be available with Gypsy to take you to the peak. 750 for the members full of Gypsy is an affordable deal. At the peak the view of the Heart shaped lake is breathtaking.

We reached the Chembra Estate by 12. Where we were asked to pay Rs 750 for 7 people along with a guide. We were asked to take a jeep till the foothills as the roads were spoilt for which we paid another Rs 750. We walked for over 2 kms to reach the foothills of the trek after the jeep... More

Chembra peak is 2,050m above the sea level & is a 3-4hr long trek all the way up where you'll see the picturesque Chembra Lake. It is a heart shaped lake on top the peak & also offers entire view of Wayanad District from the heights.. a MUST GO.. All you sweat in trek, is all Worth it ;)

On Nov 16 i traveled with my family to Kerla state. Chembra peak was one of our detentions. The treck is about 3.5km to the top and same the way back (7km total). The way up is a bit steep and slippery but it worth getting to the top. The view was breathtaking.

Climbing this was the agenda & so happy I did. Once you are up there it is a beautiful feeling. You can actually see the clouds pass by.

The lake is small but beautiful. There are tiny fishes as well! Now, for the treating, the path is not for casuals. One must be physically fit and active to be able to go on this. Lots of curves and rocks to climb, some are dangerous and needs to watch out your steps. And there are leches. It's beautiful from... More
