- scareyrider36 contributionsOnce in a lifetime experience.I was very interested in vision an elephant sanctuary. The hotel concierge recommended this place There are a few different programs you can choose from. They all seem to over hands-on interactive experiences with the elephants. We chose the half-day, feed, mud bath, “swim” and shower with the elephants. Transportation and lunch were included along with interesting elephant care facts. The staff were very attentive, making sure everyone got up close with the elephants. We went on a day with heavy rain which turned out to be perfect. There are a few sanctuaries to choose from. Glad we chose this one. They run solely on admission fees and donations. 10/10, highly recommend.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 5 October 2023
- Anchal2 contributionsFun fill day out with the elephantsHad a great time, we did the 3 hour program which was full of fun activities with the elephants. All the staff were so friendly and passionate about what they do for the elephants. Big shout out to Emma who was so friendly and engaging. Made DIY elephant magnets which we painted ourselves which were a great touch. Would definitely recommend!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 October 2023

- Andre N3 contributionsAmazing family experience and suitable for kids !This place was really amazing for my family including 2 kids( 10 and 12). The staff knew intricate history of all the elephants and explained how to feed them, apply the mud and wash it off. They also warned of all the risks so we felt safe for our kids to do the activities. Really good highly recommend A++++Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 October 2023
- Adilla WirantoMalaysia11 contributionsUtmost care for the elephants and guestsWhat an amazing experience! We took the half-day package and got up close with 12 rescued elephants of different ages. The youngest one was only 4 months old and was rescued together with his mom from a private owner. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and playful. We can feel their passion for both elephants and guests. Khun Gino, Khun Jimmy, Khun Arm, and Khun Gift noticed that our group is celebrating a special occasion, and took the trouble to send us home with a gift. 5 stars all around!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 October 2023

- AaronFarnworth, United Kingdom3 contributionsEthical elephant sanctuaryThis was an incredible experience. Hilarious and informative guides and the elephants were treated so amazingly. Got to feed, massage and bathe elephants without it feeling like disturbing the elephants' day. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you've seen other animal attractions in Thailand and want to know the impact of those attractions on the animals. The animals here are rescues, some dance through conditioning and show scarring, so thank god for this place to give them a new lease of life!Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 17 October 2023

If you're very squeamish, you might not get the elephant-dirt thing standing in the mud. But your inner child has to overcome that feeling and you will only have the joy of coming into contact with these beautiful animals. It's organized very well. Hotel transfers, stories about the wonderful 9 residents of the orphanage (4 small and 5 adults), elephant wiping, elephant brushing under the tropical shower. Everything you need is already included in the price: towels, water, poncho capes, a full-time photographer who takes photos for free. Just remember to take 100 baht as security for your locker. Then the deposit is returned, of course. Worth every baht spent, a lifetime experience, I recommend.

Dear Logun_Lee
Thank you for your wonderful review!
We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience at our sanctuary. It's great to know that you enjoyed getting up close and personal with our elephants. Your comment about the mud bath being a little messy is a great point. We always encourage our visitors to embrace the experience fully, but we understand that it's not for everyone. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for recommending us to others. We hope to see you again soon!

A beautiful place, a sea of experiences. All the elephants are groomed, the territory is diverse and varied, the elephants have a place to walk! Kippers treat their subjects well, no raising of voice or negative actions, everything is gentle and calm. I took the Feed&Spa program for 2200tb and was very pleased, a nice little adventure to get to know these wonderful creatures intimately, you will learn about everyone separately from the guide during the program process and before it, during a short lecture before the start. Each visitor is entitled to an impressive bucket of beast treats, a towel to take a shower after the mud baths, a locker for things (as collateral 100tb, after returning the key the money is returned). Photos are taken by the employees on your phone, and one of the employees takes a photo with hers, then sends all the shots via Airdrop, very convenient! Water/tea/coffee, sweet watermelon and a mini-workshop on painting a magnet to remember – all as a very nice bonus, a wonderful treatment for guests! The organization is high, all for the convenience and comfort not only of elephants, but also of their curious visitors. I recommend to visit unequivocally, remember to leave a donation or help the elephants by buying something from the gift shop!

My wife and I visited the Phuket Elephant Care on April 20th of 2024. This was a great experience you must have! We learnt difference between African and Asian elephants. Short lecture about the species was interesting, points in preparation and safety (really good!) were crucial for us. After this, we fed 13 different Asian elephants (11 female, 2 male) and had SPA attraction in a little mud pool. This was so fun! You can buy small souvenirs in a local shop. Special thanks to our guide Sam, he has great English. We definitely recommend to have this excursion in the Phuket Elephant Care to all the people, especially to our colleagues, friends and close ones. Thank you again!

We went with our 5 kids all of which are above 11th an old and had an awesome time, they have a baby named perfume who is super cheeky but adorable. The experience was so humane and absolutely beautiful to experience this beautiful creature in their own habitat. As for the staff - they are so amazing and hilarious, cheeky themselves and love playing around. Highly recommend.

We loved our half-day (3 to 4 hour) visit, which included experienced staff and a safe and hospitable environment that protects the elephants’ rights and dignities. Feeding then giving the elephants a mud bath, followed by a dip in the pool then shower was phenomenal, and even young children (3 to 7 years old) had a blast and were clearly safe under the keen eyes of the sanctuary’s staff! We’ll definitely be back again! Requires good mobility to take part in all activities. Bring a swim-suit!

How they bought/took these elephants that they claim have been rescued is questionable. They say they have no subsidies from the Government and this tourisistic activity is how this camp is funded.
But we loved this activity with the kids. We took the afternoon program (3h) that I found perfect as you learn about them, prepare their food and vitamin balls, feed them, massage them with clay and the finish is the coolest thing as you end up swimming ( or rather cleaning) with them in the lake and lastly a shower with them.
We then took a shower, learned to cook thai (pad thai and papaya salad) and then fi ally ate. Pick-up from/to your hotel was included. It was really fun! We enjoyed it!

The park exists on private funds, the name is true: rescued elephants live in comfort and without any shackles. In the park there are adult elephants, teenagers, and a very young elephant calf (3 months). There is a rescued blind elephant, also removed from commerce.
The cost of the half a day program was 2500 baht in September 2023. 3 hours: feeding, rubbing the elephants with clay, swimming in the pond, large elephant shower, lunch. The employees take photos all the time and then send them to your phone.
You need to take a swimsuit or spare things with you - you will need to get smeared in clay. After the program, you can paint the refrigerator magnet yourself.

We booked the 6 hour tour with elephants because we wanted to spend as much time as possible with elephants… it did not disappoint! Our day was so incredible, that we cannot even believe it was real!
First, the sanctuary is well taken care, clean, and fresh. It has a homey vibe!
Second, all of the staff were kind, welcoming, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about elephants 🐘
Third, we had an amazing tour guide named Jimmy. He was really funny and passionate about rescuing and saving Asian elephants. He answered all of questions and we learned so much.
Our day started with feeding three different elephants, including how to feed a a blind elephant. Then, we went on a two hour hike with one elephant. She was so beautiful and 56 years old. You would never guess by the way she moves and plays! The hike was steep (I’m not a hiker) but so worth it. We got to watch her knock down a tree, strip leaves from a branch, and give herself a mud bath in a stream. My only advice is bring good hiking shoes! After that we had a delicious lunch: soup, veggies, rice, chicken wings, spring rolls, and watermelon! Next, my favorite part was the mud bath and washing the elephant. We were in a group of 4, so we had so much time to spend and interact with her. She was extremely playful in the water. Lastly, we had a Thai cooking class. The food was delicious and unlimited water. You will leave full and happy!
I highly recommend this Sanctuary and hope you make as many incredible memories as we did.
