This is a quick and easy visit when in Baisha and I highly recommend. One of the teachers speaks English very well and gave us a very informative talk about the school. We decided to buy a few pieces, however there was absolutely no pressure....More

The girls training at the institute are trained to this skill to earn a living and the more experienced ones would do more intricate designs which can take months or even longer. Embroidery artworks are sold here as well.

The artistry of this place is truly amazing, and you can see the process of making the embroidery as well as the finished products. This was a big surprise for me, and made the visit to Baisha well worth the time.

We never expected to buy embroidery but it is breathtakingly beautiful work by a master of an art which is so exacting that it may become a disappearing art. It takes 10 years to become eligible to become a master--if your eyes are still good...More
